Glad to see such a large service turn out both past and present. For myself, I'm a third generation airborne soldier and second generation special forces. Entered the army in 1987 as a member of the 101st airborne/air assault Infantry Division from 87-90, have been in SF ever since. My grand father served in WWII in the 11th airborne Division for four years. My father served with the 101 and SF with three tours in nam and got medically retired in 1968 for wounds received in combat. Currently the old family has tallied 29 years of military service and 81/2 years in a combat zone defending the home lands.
I've been back now for a month and some change. I'll swing by the Honda shop sometime and shoot the breeze with ya

Drag racing Joe! at your age!!! Fun isn't it? My 55 Special isn't up to that kind of stuff, but it runs 75-80 all day long down the highway. I need to put a cam in it and a 4bbl carb. I did this years ago and it wiped out 283 chevies up to 2-4s or fuel injection. Do you think we could go to Flint and Detroit and raise cain to get our old Buicks back? I wonder how many would join us. Good luck Walt
Walt, in 1957 I bought the only new car I have ever owned. It was a 57 Chev convert with a 283 and a three speed manual trans with overdrive. It also had a 4.11 posi . I was Embarassed one night by a kid in a 55 Buick Special twice from the red light. I pulled him over and asked what was under the hood, and he showed me a dirty Buick two barrel engine. I was amazed, and my brother in law that was with me NEVER lets me forget that night. :blast:
Joe Hey Joe, just curious are you related to the Taubitz family from Fenton? I use to hang around with Bill, Rick and Jeanette in high school. :beer
