here are a few more: The Blue Cuda, the owner actually drove in the storage lot 18 years ago... the 67 GTO ran, but was towed in after a front end accident.. The LeMans was purchased to repair the GTO... The Yello cuda was a parts car from day one. Nevertheless, the same syndrome: "Im gunna fix them someday!" ya. right.
Wheelz, what happened to those cars man! It looks as if someone dumped sulphuric acid all over them. The salt water can't be that bad down in Florida can it that's what our cars usually look like after a hard life in Canada
matter O fact, it can! I am 3 minutes from the gulf. If I were to wetsand a primered panel thru to the metal, within 15 minutes, you would see surface rust oxidation appear... 15 MINUTES! George N and I know a fello who bought an Chevy orange 70 GS Stage 1 Convertible... The paint was gorgeous, however, the guy hated the color so he stripped the orange with a 60 grit grinder. HE NEVER REsealed the bare steel body. Within about 6 years, the car was a total, absolute rustbucket.. I have pix somewhere... worth a good cry.
..this 1952? JEEP ORDINANCE/MILITARY TRANSPORT VEHICLE is FOR SALE on the same property as the cuda, GTO, etc.>. Spot it in the GTO image background. Mike in SC should buy it and twixt the two, Im sure he could build one!!! LOL
In the pictures I posted that yard is 20 miles from the gulf but is surrounded by agricultural fields. They get crop dusted with nitrate fertilizers and that has totally eaten the tops of nearly every car in the place.
The Judge was in MUCH better shape than the poor X and was supposed to be mine for work performed on the owner’s property over the years. He ended up skipping town though because of bill collectors,IRS etc. He managed to hide the Stage 1 4 speed w/ac & a GN locally but sold “my” Judge and the rest of his ULTRA nice stored Hemi cars,Shelbys and about any other cool rare as hens teeth muscle & drag cars were confiscated & auctioned off at insanely low prices. I had tracked down the GSX & GN’s hiding place and a few months later got a call from one of our members & a very good friend (sorry do not have permission to share names) and I imagine by now is nearly concourse & I did manage to buy a 69 H/O 455 car out of the previous property but sold it within a year (chased it for 20!) when my wife was diagnosed with aggressive Stage 3 cancer. Sometimes just more important things than cars and the Hurst Olds also got a great home & I got to keep my wife & our children’s mother : ) Thank you Lord
Yep, its a halftrack. I got these pictures off of one of my military forums. They were taken somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. The halftrack had been sold as surplus after WWII to a logging company. My understanding is that it has been sold and is being restored.
Is rat chit considered a element? Check out under the hood of this Plymouth. I didn't know these were there when I picked this car up. I removed 3 full garbage cans from this car. Individual cast iron max wedge headers
Bought a 85 ford truck that had been sitting in the woods for 15 years and it looked like that under the hood. All that could be seen of the engine was the top of the air cleaner. Once cleaned out all the wiring had been eaten.
Here's one I forgot about... a 1953 Roadmaster in a field, it sported a complete and original FACTORY FRIGIDAIRE AC system mounted in the trunk, dash, overhead TUBES to move air to the passenger area, etc.... A few years ago, I stopped and talked to the elderly (92 y/o) COLLEGE PROFESSOR, who ordered it new. Told me stories of how he and his former GF, turned WIFE, generated a lot of activity in that car....(ahh hemm!) He couldnt bring hisseff to sell it so he just let it rot into the ground.
