The paint daubs are visual QC for the line people and inspectors. It is so loud in the plant that normal conversation could not be heard. Ask me how I know.....
I finally made the spring compressing tool. It's just a salvaged plate of 1/4" steel. I used 1/2" threaded rod I glued a rubber pad on to help prevent scratching the new paint on the lower control arm. Grease or anti - seize is mandatory. The coupling nut is a great idea. Thanks, Steve.
