    Where to buy?

Does anyone know if POR-15 products are available in stores or just through the internet? I, too, am about to do some work on the trunk floor.

Order it here http://www.por15store.com/ you will probably have it in 2 days. If I order by noon I have it the next day

There's an auto body and paint store up the street from me, which is where I bought a couple of small cans of it along with the Metal Ready stuff to neutralize (chemically change) the rust.

I tried a little POR 15 this fall, and it seems fine so far - just undercarriage work on a daily driver.

Use rubber gloves, not vinyl. POR tends to seep through vinyl :)
Put plastic wrap (saran wrap) over the can before closing it, that way it won't get stuck.
I've never tried a roller (sound interesting), but the foam sponges work great. POR lays down very well, with no brush strokes. As an added bonus, after the sponge dries you can have fun hitting it with a hammer.
Pour a little at a time into a disposible bowl. If you are doing a decent sized area it may start to dry before you finish.
You can get it off your skin with brake cleaner and very little abrasive if it is still wet. Once it dries, start making up stories.

Some stores do carry it - I can get it in my city (in Ohio). Try calling the more-or-less independent businesses, as I've not seen it in a national chain.

I've used many of the POR-15 products and I have to say, they work great. I'm very satisfied with the results. All of the above advise is good, but I would add that instead of buying a quart, buy the "6-pack". 4 oz cans in your choice of color. A little more expensive, but a 4 oz can is about right for a single application and you don't have to worry about trying to re-seal the can. :Brow: I use just a regular 1" paint brush and have had great results. I also use the Marine Clean and Metal Ready. As far a gloves, clean up and ooppses, all I can say is my co-workers know when I've been using POR-15 !!! I think it's the little black spots on my face :beer
