Our Lil racer Liam, nearly 5 years young is in for the battle of his lil life. He has been gettin "tummy aches" for about 2 months on and off and last night it was unbearable, stayed up all night with him trying to do all the right things to help it go away, at about 5:30 am he starts in puking, thats it we go to the ER. Having gone through this same thing about a month ago I demand of the staff first off to give him a CT scan. After 9 hours there they finally OK the CT and we find the trouble. A distended lower intestine, meaning it has closed up like a telescope. So its off to Childrens Memorial in Chicago for a surgical procedure..Yikes. So we will be camped out there for the near future and any good vibes ya'll can muster up for the Boy would help alot. Off to the Hospital again. Dr. Dana
Sorry to hear that my buddy's daughter has been in the hospital for 3 weeks now and the doctors are puzzled. I hate it when the little tikes are in the hospital or even sick at home i've got 3 kids 2,5,and 7. Best wishes to you and your Family if you could use a little extra cash to help pay for part of the bills post your address and i'll donate to ya. Jarrod
VIBES VIBES I cant even imagine the pain you guys are going thru. I just had a baby girl 4 months ago, thank god she is healthy. my best wishes go out to you and your family on a fast and perfect recovery. peace be with you all Scott streidl
Send him best get well wishes from us here too.It is really bad to see anyone sick and hospitalized but, even worse when its a young child.Hope everything goes well and we'll be thinking of you on our side. Pat
All our best to you and Beth, Dana. It's amazingly stressful to have a sick or injured child. Glad you forced the doctors' hand. Medicine is only an educated guess and they try to save money by not doing the testing. Hope Liam, Beth and you are home safely soon.
When I was 3 years old I had an 18" growth in my large intestine and they gave me 48 hours to live or die after my surgery. I made medical history so at least I can say I'm in the books. They said kids that have 5" growths usually don't make it, but I guess I'm an exception. I just hope everything comes out good for your little one, the technology is 100 times better than it was 25 years ago.
Dana & Beth, I hope everything works out for your boy and you! I know how heart-wrenching it is to have a child that's ill. Best Wishes!
Dana & Beth, I hope everything turns out OK. I have been There, last year my stepdaughter spent Six weeks at Children's Hospital in St Paul. Our Prayers are with you.
I know it's not a good idea to put too much personal info on the WWW., but is there an address for the hospital or a PO box your Buick buddies (and buddettes) could send Liam a "Get Well" card? Or maybe there's a way we could all do it online?
Dana And Beth nothing makes a adlut feel more helpless than a sick child good for you for stnading up to the MDs sometimes you just got to follow your hart. All the best to the little guy.
Kathy and I are pulling for all 3 of you and sending you our Good Vibrations Get well Quickly Buick Buddies
Liam, Dana and Beth, our thoughts and prayers are with you. It's very difficult for me to think about our own 5yr old daughter being in the same situation. Keep on top of the doctors, they make too many decisions based on the insurance co "rules".
Dana and Beth Sorry to hear about Liam's situation. The little guy has been through a lot the past few months and if he undergoes surgery it will be tough, but I have to believe that he will come through this without a hitch. Becky and I will keep the three of you in our prayers. Please keep everyone on this board posted if you get a chance. Keep the faith.
Dana and Beth, please know that Loyd's and my prayers are for you and Liam. If you need anything, let us know. Our good vibes are headed your way. I know it's a terrible way to find out, but at least now you can get this settled, and cured. I pray to God that he'll never have to feel this kind of pain again. Take care, you guys. ShariB
Dana, Beth and Liam, Vibes are a commin' from Jen and I, keep us posted! Hopefully we hear good news soon!
