As of now we don't have the details nailed down 100%, but hope to very shortly...I think the next meeting is Tuesday, weather dependent. With that said, how "organized" would y'all that have some interest in this like this to be? I'm not out to take the wind out of the sails of the actual FAST/PS dates, just figured another play day for those interested never hurt anyone...so are you guys thinking 1 or 2 days, 2 of 3 or ladder, etc, etc. I understand this partly depends on turnout, but I'm looking for a barometer of what you'd like to see happen...

The few guys I've talked with personally are leaning 2 days, and hopefully enough cars to try a 2 outta 3?

We would want a 2 day with a 2 out of 3 on Saturday. The question would be if we would drive home Saturday night or stay and leave Sunday morning. The thought would be to show up Friday late morning. What would the track times be on Friday and Saturday. that would determine our schedule.

It would have to be a 2 day event for such a long drive with camping at the track, and the biggest request of all is to be TOTALLY GUARANTED not to be paired up with a yellow sub again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bla: :bla: :bla: :moonu: Jim

Is there going to be a Pure Stock race here? Or did this idea die. Getting late.

Dan, It sounds like a great event. I thought about attending with the addition of the race. But no one has come out and said there will be a pure stock race here. I suppose if there were to be a pure stock event at the super car reunion, the organizers would have stated so.

Any Pure Stock or FAST cars that are interested need to chime in here, or shoot me a pm/email...we also have a running thread over @ Yenko.net [click here].

A tech card is $75, no admission charge for spectators, shows cars etc, gates open @ 8am, tech is 8am-10am, racing 10 to 5 on Friday, July 29th (possibly Saturday as well). We hope to finally get a host hotel nailed down this week (big thanks to Steve Arp! :TU:), and I will post as soon as I know something.

First of all, thanks to everyone who helped in the search for a host hotel for SCR14, and sorry it has taken us so long, but good news, we now have one, the Hollywood Casino/Hotel, Joliet, IL.

Located in a secluded setting, near where interstates I-55 and I-80 meet, the hotel is very nice, tons of parking, lots of security, RV park, relative close to RT66, and of course, a casino.

One thing I need to point out, the hotel does not allow anyone under 21 to be a guest at the hotel. Anyone bringing children who need recommendations on where to stay feel free to holler at me and I will be glad to help.

    Contact information is:
    Hollywood Casino (Joliet)
    1-888-436-7737
    777 Hollywood Blvd.
    Joliet, IL 60436
GPS Directions - Formerly 2300 Empress Drive

The block code for a special rate is: Car Reunion,
    group name Supercar Reunion.

    I plan on being there.

One thing to mention, I-80 has been down to one lane due to construction. It would be better to avoid I-80 from the hotel to the track by taking the back roads. It is about 6 miles from the hotel to the track.

x2 on what Steve said. But the Michigan people should be used to construction, right  I plan on being there and for once will be saving some money as I don't need to get a hotel room. A friend is flying in from OKC to spectate, drink, BS, and just have a great time.

The construction on I80 is not fun but after going to the NHRA nationals this weekend I noticed that Laraway road just west of 53 is completely shut down. Just wanted to give you all a heads up. Looks like everybody will have to jump on I80 to get to the host hotel. Oh well at least for next year we will have new roads with less traffic on them. I will tell you one thing the track is looking good though!
