I need times and locations. I would love to bring my beast up there and have your work humiliate it.:beer Nice work Skip.:beer
First, thanks for the kind words. It is my name, but I just sign the checks. There is a great bunch of talented people behind me doing the real magic. Escondido is from 5-9 on Grand Ave. A lot of folks get there at 3 or so in the afternoon. 3 awards every week at 8pm. Never been to La Mesa's cruise. btw, we have several cars leaving the shop by the end of the month.
car show The La Mesa car show is on La Mesa Blvd at around 5:00 pm. Take the Spring Street exit off of the 94 and turn right on La Mesa Blvd. The cars line the street. I will be parking my car next to the Hemis to taunt them as much as I can.
supercharged Well, I finally got mine last friday. I'm still playing with it, trying to get it tuned right. Sofar I'm really satisfied with it. I luv the whistling sound it makes along with the ruff sounding exhaust. I'll post some pics of it as soon as I have a spare moment and talk more in detail about how it all went together. How can I down load a vidio clip with sound like that other guy did with his car on the dyno? Rick
Hey Rick, I'm glad everything seems to be working out good...... Did the tips I gave you Saturday help with tuning it?
pic 1 I'll have more tomorrow, my rad cover is red but it turned out orange here for some reason Yea Rich, they did help. I'm still playing with her.
Wow, after reading through 10 pages, I can just say way freaking cool. Nitro, one question tho, what is this alky setup your talking about and what's it do/how's it work? Is there another post somewhere on these forums that I can read all about it?
Supercharger on 455 With 11.5:1 Comp. Ratio?!? BOOM!!! Retard the timing, add more fuel, Spend thousands on the bottom-end, Rods, pistons, etc.,...Go Slower, or BOOM!!!! GM, made the same, MISTAKE! forty years ago!
Re: Supercharger on 455 What are you talking about? Who is running a blower with 11.5 to 1 Compression?
The alky setup is made by SMC. They are very big over in the GN camp. Alky burns cooler than gas so injecting it in a since makes the motor think the air charge is cooler. This system only starts injecting the alky at a specfied boost level. This is fully adjustable in the car. The pump speed (the amount of alky that gets injected) is also ajustable in the car..... So far it's worked good.
rpkzm,Rich Awesome engine comparments, those are sweet!!! Realisticly tho, what mods does one have make?( to run with a blower) and what "blower" cam is recomended, I haven't heard of one being avalible for our 455's . Again awesome, downright awesome!!!! later
Hey Chris, Mods all depend on how much boost you are going to run. For starters you need a Very good Fuel System. Forged pistions don't hurt either. You could really take a bone stock motor and put 4 to 6 psi through it.......... As for blower cam, anything with a nice lobe split 112 or higher with more exhaust duratoin and lift than intake would work great.
Nitro71455, Before...Everyone changed the subject and "Showed-off" some, excellent workman-ship...The, ORIGINAL Question was (BP_Motorsports) relateing to his 11.5:1 Stage 1!
