    Hello Everett,
I believe I saw your car at Russo and Steele and I think you were there talking to someone else about how there were no others for sale that you knew of. So if I understand this thread you bought this car, restored it and sold it at Russo and Steele. Looks like you did a very nice job and I am glad you were rewarded for your efforts!!:TU: :TU: Welcome to the board.:) :)

Thank you Mike, this other car came out of no where. A guy that restored a N code 429 convertible(thunderjet car), called me and said I have found one and said he was bringing it home. I am not sure if I will be getting the car from him or not but I will be finding out soon enough. I do want a GS Stage 1 convert at this point abd have found one, but if I do get this other drag pack convertible then buying a GS will be on hold. I just can't afford to do both at one time. Thanks for the compliments on the car, it was a painstaking process for sure. i want to do the resto because the car needs to be put back to its original state, and most hobbiest restoration guys will not do that correctly. Thanks for the positive input, I really appreciate is and I have found everyone here to be more than helpful with what I am trying to do. I have never owned a Buick or General motors car for that matter and the time will be coming I think when I delve into one of these cars fully. I ussually will totally immerse myself in the cars that I find interest in. I used to be a Mustang guy and switched to the Torino. I sold my first car about two weeks ago, a 67' mustang, had it for 17 years appx. I am not looking back at this point, I like intermediate muscle cars for sure, and not pony cars at all anymore, just preference now, plus I have a wife and three kids to tote around with me now. I am looking for the right stage one car, and I am going to try like hell togetthat other drag pack convert.

GM muscle cars are a great antidote for Fords and Mopars.

Found another car to restore, another Torino convertible of course. Guess I will get the GSX some other time. The comments that were made about the car being nice were appreciated. The crack smoker type comments were B.S. and uncalled for. These cars are getting recognition now, fortunateley without market manipulation that some have suggested. I have sold two other Non SCJ drag pack convertibles for close to 100k, those were just plane old CJ cars, one a column shifter car. Non of which were even close on the condition of this one. Persoanlly I think that the car went to cheap, but once reserve is met, aint no stoppin the sale in regards to the SCJ car. The other two cars sold at what they should have sold at, just under 100k. Buicks are getting more recoginition and press, that is great. Last thing I want is getting tore into here though, I like Torinos #1, GS cars and then 442's. Diego saw my car at Russo, he can comment on it if he likes, the car was done right, and it was nice meeting him also.

Older Detroit Iron from the muscle era to me is nothing short of art on wheels. At 49 I can no longer count the cars I have driven, restored, showed and sold. Although I am partial to G.M. my all time favorite was a 70 Dodge Challenger 440, 4:10. 4 speed, black with a red hood. I bought it for $4500.00 and sold it for $8500.00 2 years later and thought I made out like a bandit. Check the price these days!
I was in ffice:smarttags" /><?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[IMG]<st1:place w:st="on">Las Vegas</st1:place></st1:City> this past weekend for NADA and I can assure you that if I could I would trade everything I own, except my Yorkie Nina, for the black and tan Aston Martin that was there. Or I would drive my dream car which is a 67 Thunder bolt fairlane 500.
This is a pretty strong statement considering I am a Chevy dealer. If the man wants to restore a <st1:place w:st="on">Torino</st1:place> and it makes him happy than so be it. I am happy for him because in the end.there all made of glass, steel and rubber. May the best car win!
