    John,
Was great to "hang" with you. You defineately cut it close :Dou: . For those who don't know John got there at 4:25pm, flew into tech, then hears over the loud speaker that one lane got anti-freezed down and the track is shutting down  :Dou: . Thankfully they let he and another car go down the opposite lane :beer .

Big thanks to Dan & Bob for a great time. It was nice to see everybody again, and to meet some new guys too. Can't wait till next year, maybe I won't have to rely on "Murdock" to pedal the car next year.

Thanks Bob and Dan - had a great time the wife is hooked , had a ball!!!!
She finally understands why I love it so much.

Thanks to Dan & Bob for the outstanding program. This is what racing should be!
Noel the pace car went 13.94 not 13.98.
Great to see everyone, once year is to long to wait.

We had a great time. Even after eight years, every one of the 1710 miles is worth it.

The experience of witnessing some of the best cars in North America being actually used for what the designers/engineers/marketers intended is priceless.

Just one thing... maybe we (racers) should start a collection for a couple of drums of VHT for next year.
You know, to spray on the track...repeatedly...at least past the 10' foot mark...during competition.
    Ahh, you get the idea.

Wow........my ninth year and it was the best! :TU:

Thanks to Dan and Bob for this movement they started! :beer (Yes I know about Chuck Green but it wasn't the same)

The run I had first round against Mark Barker was phenominal!

He pulled me at the tree.

I pedaled through the 60' and pulled on him.

He pulled on me through mid track.

Got it in high gear and fished tailed a bit but pulled on him by .05 sec.

    Phew! what a race.

Seeing everybody and hanging out is the best part.....my face hurts from laughing and smiling.

JJ's hurts from falling.....but that's another story.

Thanks for the positive comments on the '58 I'm glad folks were happy to see it. :3gears:

    Chapter 7

Our 7th attendance at this phenomenal event was yet again the best time ever. Bob & Dan: Great job!

As part of the growing Canadian contingent, I think I speak for all of us in extending kind thanks to our American counter-parts and hosts for making us feel so welcome.

For all the excitement at the track (which is itself unparalleled), it's the bonds of friendship that make September in Stanton so special. I count myself lucky to share a kinship with such fine people. That's not to say anything less for the hosts of the tailgate party back at the Comfort Inn... best gumbo, lamb and pork loin ever. Thanks to all for your kindness.

Okay, I'm done gushing... it was an awesome party! :TU:

Note to self: NEVER MISS THIS AGAIN!! :Dou:

I hear that people were talking about me, I have to be there to defend myself!!!

Is it me or could Benoit make a Turnip Truck into a 12 sec runner? :3gears:

    Donny and Tim,
Did you guys receive the memo saying that no one was supposed to break anything? :pp

    Rob (and Tidy Cat),
Make certain you have these days blocked off for next year. Last minute plan changes on my part are unacceptable. The roadmap will be laid out at SCR 10!!

The new outfit for 'Team Stefina' will now be wingtips and a Fedora.

    Hodges,
Get ready for Tulsa! The truck will be ready (the car will be as well!) :TU:

RDL, Copo, Bruno, and the rest of the Canadian Clup,
Let me know what I need to bring to the party. I am sure that you guys can think of something! :beer

To Terry and Juile Pennington,(and JJ)
    ONE WORD: AWESOME!!!

    Dan and Bob,
Please don't change a thing. You won't be able to keep me away next year and I promise to behave!! :Brow:

I know I missed out on the party of the year. I should follow the advise of elders before me in college:'You can retake a class, you can NEVER relive a party!' :beer

Nope....the new team hat was defined by RDL. A ball cap with Team Stefina embroydered on it! :beer

It's my new favorite hat. :TU: (I know Pete....the Marauder hat will be repaired)

As far as shirts I liked the ones Mark Weymouth had made.....especially the one for Benoit.  :TU:

This was my sixth time at the PSMCDR and it just keeps getting better and better!! Karen and I now consider some of you folks more like family instead of friends!! We had a blast out in the grass pits. I think everybody who was out there with us slowed down a tenth just from the weight gain from three square meals cooked up by our brides!!! Not to mention the 20 people who were with us for dinner at Maxfield's Friday night!!
We missed some of the old regulars, but we managed to drag some newbies into the fray with us to make up the car and spectator count.

I think Brian's '58 was the "darling" of the event. Everytime I went by that barge it was surrounded by a crowd!! Well deserved attention for the awesome restoration on the green machine. :TU:

We're already looking forward to next year!!
THANKS to Dan and Bob!!!! :beer

    Hodgesi-son,
Was excellent running you in the grudge races after the shoot-outs. Carbs were set just right for coming out of the hole. Also glad I switched to DOT 5 in the braking system.
