If ICE cars were really burning at 20 times the rates of EVs, I suspect we would see car ferry and parking garage owners behaving very differently.

What happens to the “spent nano fluid” ?

It's rechargeable. If your home and just going short distances, you could charge at home and rarely need to change it.

On trips the discharged fluid would go into a tank and be recharged before being dispensed.

More of a "new vehicle" problem

    Ford. LOL.

For sure, when the car becomes a computer, which they have, these kind of issues become real.

Trying to compare the shoddily made batteries and shoddily made chargers in shoddily made scooters to the systems in actual electric vehicles is completely meaningless.

I remember seeing an article posted (maybe even on this forum) about a guy in Europe who blew up his Tesla when he found out what it would cost to replace the battery.

What happens when we get hit with an Electromagnetic pulse Nuke ? Thats when all of us with pre-electronic cars will Rule The World!

I'm not sure car batteries would work either. That's when those of us with horses will rule the world!

It depends. If the Lead-Acid battery was attached to a charger that was plugged in to the power grid, it might be fried. If it was not attached to the power grid, and of course when installed in a car it is not, the EMP would not be a problem for it. The issue is that the rest of the car's electronics would likely be fried. Even the condenser in a breaker point ignition system - as well as the ignition coil would likely die. The solution would be to keep a known-good spare coil and condenser in a metal box if you are concerned about such things. A spare resistor might not be a bad idea either. If your car is a modern electronics wonder, keep it in a metal building and pray.

I keep my coil in the metal box called an engine bay. I don’t need no stinking condensor. Anything past 1973 will be fried.

We will all eat each other by the third day, so it doesn't matter.

I read an article about that. They said if the excrement really hit the fan in this country, it would only take a few day before everyone turned into animals.

A friend of mine who has "differing beliefs" than me commented that if the SHTF, he's gonna come to my house. I told him if he did, I'd make him walk to his car backwards with his hands interlaced behind his head at gunpoint .

Your engine bay is totally surrounded by metal? How does the cooling system work? Mine has a grille and openings between the radiator tubes and also the fins. It's open underneath, and the the hood does not seal to the cowl.
