Just thought this was interesting. What are the FAST guys going to do when they are going 10's? It might be a little painful if they run to the rules being established for 2007. A window net is required going 10's.

    Helmet Expiration Dates
Effective Jan. 1, 2007, where a Snell- or SFI-rated helmet is required in competition, the Snell 95 and SFI 31.1, 31.2, 41.1, and 41.2 helmets will no longer be allowed. Look in the General Regulations section of the 2007 NHRA Rulebook under Helmet and Goggles for expiration dates for all Snell and SFI-tagged helmets.

It's the new "target" for the men's room since Rusty took the cap with the old duallie.

Pretty ugly, isn't it? Bad condition, too. Best thing about it is the paint job.

The '64 has a loop, aftermarket axles, SFI clutch, flywheel and scatter shield.

Install steel stems and I'm good for 11.99! :Dou:

Been a fan of good flywheels and clutches and I don't trust old used axles when you don't know what life they have led.

As far as the helmet......well if you have a cheap head....buy a cheap helmet.

    Oh yea.....the Hijack:

Rodney Carrington has a song entitled "Morning Wood". He must have been looking at this Edsel early in the morning when he wrote it. Great song, there's a preview on his web site under video clips.

Pegleg, that IS the black car. The one I posted was a diversion. Have to do a little body work to make it look like it's a 74 or older, but it needs it anyway.

How you like that "Akron/not" look on the front end? That's the Ann Arbor look!

most of the top cars are now clones that have the required safety equipment .

i've been looking for another dart to clone mine incase it dips into the 11's , at that point i want to cage it and get it down to 3200- 3300 with a driver , that way i know i can get an 11.99 out of it

oh , sorry for straying on topic

    John,

I've got a '69 340 Dart that can be had REAL reasonable. Needs work, but the price is right. Could be you. :Brow:

And just so we maintain a Mopar theme (well kinda) for the hijacks --- Here's a shot from our Alaska trip taken in Willow Alaska. One 1975 Dodge Dart with copious amounts of plywood and a Stude nose to make the ULTIMATE Batmobile.
