He has the trw forged piston engine to start with and he is building a forged rod and piston engine out of a 68 core i sold him. He will be using the ta heads when they are ready.
Explain why he would be waiting a long time? He has the other good engine to put in while he is building it anyway.
Meaning, it's going to be awhile till T/A gets the aluminum heads done, that's all..... I understand he has the other engine to start with
I don't think it will take too long for the heads to be completed... Yes it was years and years of us wanting and talking about the heads but it has not been too long since TA committed to making the heads. They are currently working on the design, and I have no doubt they will be awesome.
Surprisingly. Post on fb mentioned edelbrock had shelved single plane intakes for 455 and 350 years ago. No proof just a mention.
Yes I bought mark burtons car and sold mine.. With a new baby and working 70-80 hours a week it would have taken forever to complete the car.. The new owner is making rapid progress and will have the car on the street this spring. Marks car is turn key, runs 10.15 in the quarter and I kept my good engines to swap in if needed. Blake the new owner of the Turbo Skylark has been busy! He went with a Glass hood. The suspension is all rebuilt along with the brakes, interior, intercooler added, etc Now the car is in paint! It is going to be a GSX clone with a black stripe, larger rims, and he is going with the mild 355 Buick engine with TRW forged pistons, ARP bolts in the 73 rods, all balanced etc. He is also building another engine for the alum heads when they come out, it will include a block girdle from Gary just like mine! I am super excited about this build! With the 200R4 and 3.42 gear it is going to be a great street car!
Looks like he is getting it together. He might want to consider the weisco v6 tubro piston. 1.855 compression height. 25 cc dish. Compression will still be way under 9.
No garage work done but some Muscle car Education. He turns the pages himself and squeels at the cars he likes... So far he prefers the yellow, red, and white cars! Its his favorite book! Big pictures! [/QUOTE] Its here!!!!!
But think how nice it is spin the tires all day and not wear them out....especially those small fortunes...
At 1:15 into this video is the car: http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v732/seanbuick76/Mark Burtons Skylark/My Movie_zpsecz5q1vt.mp4
