'70 I talked to Tim, and the car he has IS a 70. From the description it is Stratomist Blue, not diplomat or any of the lighter blues. It wasn't a raced car, as far as he knows, but, it was one of his personal cars. It's fairly far gone though....including drivetrain. John
Lon- No. But, wow, that is one mean looking race car!! I actually like that lettering more than my (Pops) car!!! cool pics!!! I'll try and post some that Don Reynolds sent me....I may need some help though. Guy PS think we need to find out bout that car. I could email Don...he might have an answer.
I really love those pictures, guys!! :eek2: What a great way to relive the past-nothing says it better than the pictures and the stories behind them. This thread deserves a 2 thumbs up!!! :TU: :TU: "C'mon, baby, light my fire(and tires)!!!!!!"""" :3gears:
Which one? The '71 sure looks like Cortez gold with a brown top (Just like mine!) These pix are awesome. :3gears: :Comp:
Nostalgia What vintage are these young bucks?? I am making wild guesses on the clothing/hairstyles early 60's photo?? Looks like plenty of Brylcream (a little dab l' do ya) keeping the hair tidy! Love the nostalgia vehicles also.
1962 US Nationals at Indy. Yeah, that's a very young Don Garlits and Mickey Thompson. Here are a few more. Peace WildBill
