Is this different on the B-Body set-ups? I could not for the life of me find anything in the rear of a 68 Electra I just took apart. :Do No: Hope I didn't forget something...

    Harvey,

The one you bought is a "somewhat" reproduction. You will notice the new one has a hex nut in it. The original as shown in my pic does not. Your new one will work as intended but would not be correct for "concours" cars.

The B/C-body models will not have the rear "L" delay valve.

    Thanks George,
At the moment I'm just happy to find one at a reasonable price that works!
    Cheers

Think this is my brake problem........

Several years ago I reworked the brakes on my 69 BB Chevelle, and now the rear tires lock up if you get on the pedel real hard. I put a new seal in the metering valve and feel sure it was put back together correctly. Since then I have replaced the front discs, another proportion valve, all with the same results, early rear brake lock up. Question is, how do I rework the hold off valve to let the front discs come on before the rear brakes lock up. Any ideas, thanks..........John

I may have an extra lying around. Give me a day or so to check, and I'll let you know.

    John,
Sounds like you have a combination of problems. Best/easiest/quickest solution is to install the 71-2 combination valve. I bet your rear "L" valve may be missing causing your problem.
