Yes, I realize I'm not in Buffalo or Denver but we are getting buried in snow here around Dayton! The worst part is that it's going to continue over the next 24 hours at 1-2" per hour. On top of that we are supposed to have a drop in the temp. Only supposed to get up to 5 degrees Christmas day. Take it from a guy who doesn't have all of his shopping done, this just ain't right. ou:
Send it here I'm tired of rain and freezing rain! Man,I am just climbing the walls ready to plow the snow here. This storm is supposed to bring us more rain starting after midnight. Pat
5 degrees, you sir are lucky. Come to Chicago, i even buy a one way ticket for you. :Brow: You'll freeze almost instantly with all the wind. Here we got a dusting while Indiana got 2 feet. No fair! I want lots of snow
Snow?!?! Texas?!?! The temps today were in the high 40's what ever snow we had from last week (2") is about gone. Just rain predicted before Christmas. I'm hoping the heavy snow falls hold off so I can make it to the track (Atco, NJ) sometime in January. Snow?? Keep it all out there. p
Let it snow Sorry to hear about the snow in Ohio. Here in Western New York as of 8:50 pm there is one inch on the ground. We'll have a white Christmas. Ah, I remember something about a bizzard back in 1977.....
It's really cold here in Austin... remember we are so far south we are the same latitude as the panhandle of Florida... it's in the 20's now, and the prediction is for 38 tomorrow and 18 tomorrow night... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Frank
I am up near Dayton in Huber. We came to see family from GA. Today it was 72 degrees where I live. I can say for sure the wife and I will be glad to go home soon. Mike
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr nothin'. You need to come up here Frank. We are supposed to get up to 6* tomorrow with 25 mph winds. Although today was nice. It got up to 13*. Pretty nice if you could find a spot without the wind! o No:
I know what you mean, actually. I go to Central Maine every month and I used to live in Chi town... I'm spoiled now... it'll be in the 60's in 4 days.. Frank
Seems this is going to be the year for snow. In the last two weeks it seems that the snowbelt in Ohio (I work in the snowbelt) has had over 3 foot. It storms and we get a foot, it melts, it storms and we get a foot, it melts....I'm starting to see a trend here! Thank goodness for the friend that sold me a 4x4 right before winter (Thank you John). Of course I'm one of those people who absolutely loves the snow and I'd rather see a ton of it rather than just an inch at a time. Tonight we are getting snow, rain, freezing rain, snow, rain, freezing rain...you get the point. Makes for some messy messy roads that's fer sure! :3gears:
Mike, Small world. I moved from Huber (after 30 years) just 4 years ago. It's going to take forever for Huber to get to all those side streets. Of course when they do they are going to pile it all in front of the driveway. ou:
Its funny how everyone equates SNOW = BUFFALO  . I live just outside of Buffalo and we have had less snow the past 5 or 6 years than Rochester and Syracuse NY, just to name a few. One bad blizzard (1977) and you are the snow capital of the world.. p forever. The worst 2 day snow fall that I can remember was about 5 years ago when we got 6 feet (I did say 6 feet) of snow in two days :eek2: What we are the capital of is TAXES!!!!!!!! :af: :spank: ou: They don't know how to pass a budget in this state without raising our taxes... :spank: :beer
That is funny Mark... It really is a small world. We are not in a really bad spot, just 2 roads off of Brandt right off of 70. You are correct that it will probably be forever, and as usual, will be dumped on the driveway for us to shovel through again and in much more depth. We have not lived in OH for many years. We were in lower "upstate NY" for 2 years, and this helps us realize that life in GA is one to appreciate. Congrats on getting out of Huber, this place is getting so crowded and over-run, it is crazy. Traffic is absolutely horrible. Happy and safe holidays to all !!! Mike
