Termometer said -0.4 this morning, on the southwest side of Chi-town. Wind chill of -20. Made waiting for the train very unpleasant. At least we don't have to drive our cars in this if we don't want to!

We've not had a lot of snow this year, and the streets are coated with a salty powder. It gets kicked up into the air when cars go by, and you can taste it on your lips. Yuck!

I've had enough. It can warm up any day now.

32 degrees currently at McMurdo Station Antarctica.

    Summer here is great!

  3. Was supposed to be -25 F. here last night. Didn't hear the actual low, but it felt like an easy -20 at 5:30am. -14 currently, time to get out the tanning oil! :eek2: Fargo is in a very large glacial lake bed, and is low elevation, and flat as a pancake...I think all the cold arctic air just kind of settles here. :spank:

    Freak weather

The outter banks of NC which abutts the Gulfstream almost never gets snow. We very seldom get any 200 miles inland in the Raleigh area. Today Frisco which is a little town on the outter banks near Cape Hatteras got nearly a foot with drifts in high winds of several feet. In fact, we got snow in all 100 NC counties. As for the coast near Hatteras I would bet those two counties Dare and Hyde do not have one snow plow between them.

Aahh, it's about 6* here in northern Ohio, just gettin ready to pull on the old snowsuit and give the snomobile a little workout! the roads are snow covered and that opens up lots of new trails! let's see left at the light thenn two stop signs, make a right and there ya go, a nice little bar to warm up! Later.

P.S. I wonder what the wind chill is if it's 6* out and your running

It was an unusually cold 4* here in Northwest Arkansas early this morning. We only get a handful of days this cold here. The humidity here throws everything off and the wind chill was -15*, while in the summer 95* feels like 110* (Wow, just typing that warmed me up!!:Brow: )
