Heyyyyyy me too, lol. I LOVE my "thing". Can't call it a job cause' really it isn't work. Just too easy. Plus if ANY of them actually knew me, they would realize they are paying me WAYYYYYY too much.

As far as jobs before, humph, I have done alot. I had no idea what I wanted to do so first 8 years in the Navy. Loved it and got to see all kinds of stuff. I have work in a body shop, work in a automotive machine shop, and of course done about everything in regards to a farm :boring: . Did the traveling telecommunications installation thing for awhile. HUGE money for sure, but money just makes you greedy and it wasn't worth it to me.

I am perfectly happy driving around and tossin out the bills to you all now, lol. YUP I do the 9 to, ummmmmm, well, about 2er'.:Brow:

    Electrical Design-
I document electrical assemblies, schematics, etc. for packaging equipment. I also design ciruit boards when they let me (I'm definitely the low guy on the ladder).
Hey, at least they have a fast internet connection. I can keep up on Buick stuff while I work!
I wonder what percentage of us would rather be doing something else than what we are? How many are doing what you thought you would in high school?

I sell genetically engineered mice for medical research worldwide at a non-profit genetics research institution. Chances are you have all taken medicines which were brought about due in large part to the research done here.

It sucks to be a mouse, but they go to great lengths here to be as humane as possible in their treatment and care and we will not sell mice to anyone interested in cosmetic or any research unrelated to the betterment or understanding of human "health".

Strangely, the mouse is one of the closest models of genetic make-up to the human that we know of. They are used for that purpose and also because they breed amazingly well which speeds up research time which is a "good" thing for you and me. This place has been around since the beginning of the century.

Nobody loves animals more than me and even "I" see the good in what we do here. The only reason I don't give the name is to protect myself and this institution from raving maniacal animal rights activists.

Not laughing at it, just that he would self-deprecate about his job... I happen to think self-deprecating humor is some of the best.

    Wow, my dream job!

Does that mean you get to see all the Buick ads in your region early and buy the good cars before it goes to print? No wonder I can never find any good Buick's for sale in the Auto Trader!

Let me guess, you can tell me, but you would probably have to kill me, right?

I used to be vice president and engineer at a screw machine company. After 17 years full time I gave it up this June, sold my portion of the company and now do a little of a lot of different things. I buy and sell real estate, mostly buy so far. I also do consulting and sub contract work for the old job and build misc. machinery for the screw machine industry. I worked for a race engine shop for a few months this past spring, I would still do that if it payed much of anything. Still trying to find what I really want to do. I grew up in the machining industry literally, I started when I was 5 years old and never tried anything else. Now I just go do different things that sound interesting, someday I plan to find out what I want to do. Keep the ideas coming here I may find something yet, for now I am happy to be at home to put my 5 year old on the bus and be home on the days my wife isn't to take him back off the bus. Life is better without the stress of keeping a business going, I learned how to smile again. My wife recently left her job when her boss refused to give her time off to go to the Cecil race with me, she now works sub contract in a salon with flexable hours.

I mostly set grave markers, monuments and sandblast lettering .
we install stuff for about 15- 20 monument dealers in ct.
before that i was an organ builder, painter, and a 6 month substitute art teacher in a catholic high school.
the teaching thing sucked, i coach wrestling and figured maybe a teaching job would be good. NOPE. dead people are far easier to deal with.

Now I get it. Actually being a Mailman is a good job. I see people loosing their jobs every day and I'm thankful to have a good one. It really is a good job for not having tried at anything else. I never applied myself. So think of "Loser" as my second occupation. Its a combination of never trying to do more with my life, and my basic white trash ways. Of course I was a soldier once, but thats another story.

I worked 37 years for Chevrolet as a tool and die maker. I have been retired for over 15 years, and am still trying to get my 72 GS in the 12s. It ran 13,05 two years ago, and I just did some more tinkering, so maybe next year!

I supply the food that you all eat at Subway. I also deliver to schools as well. Get to visit Plainfield area in NJ. on Mondays, Dallas area, Pa. on Wednesdays and Fairfax area in Virginia on Thursdays. It's nice to work 3 days and get a full pay. So if you ever see a 'Reinhart' tractor trailer on one of those days, it's only me...
I was in and out for the past 15 years as a pro photographer but as of now, that job is on hold...
