    65 Wildcats my Favourite

I guess I'm biased but I have to say that the 65 Wildcat is definitely my favourite.
This is my 65 Custom convertible which has a few factory options like the cornering lights, AM/FM,Posi Diff and Buick Rally wheels. the Turquoise color is what really attracted me to this car with the black interior which is like new. They don't get any better than this.
    But then ........as I said..........I'm biased. :) :) :)

64 and 65 are both cool years. I have to go with 64 first, then the 65s. If someone can resize a couple images for me, I will add a pic or two of my newest Wildcat. Kinda beat, but 100% there and accounted for.

I didn't think a 62 was anything special. After all, these stories about "used to have " and "back in high school" end the same way. They got rid of it and kick themselves now. From the time I was born in 69 till today I can go drive the Wildcat my dad bought in May of 62 . He never gets rid of anything ! Daily driver till 81 then restored and show winning now. I don't know what its like to NOT have one in the garage . Kinda weird , huh?:puzzled:

By the way, can anyone tell me, what 4 Speeds they took, to build in them Wildcats? Were these Muncies, or T10's or sth. else?

WILD CAT, Buick used T-10s in the 63-65 Wildcats.

Oh! I had heard, that GM used the Muncie after since 63? Because the Muncies were stronger especially with high torques. Or at least since the end of '63? Or was ist just Chevrolet and Pontiac? Or was it just B.S. what I heard?! ;)

What the ..... is a Muncie by the way? Is that a make, or what?
I have read the word Muncie Plant. Was it made by GM in Muncie, or what?
Or did they grow transmissions on a field? :Dou:
I have one M20, and three M21, of which I killed another clutch today, racing against a 32 Ford on a country road with my 57 Bel Air. ;) and I have read stuff about them on a Internet site, but I'm not sure about that name and in what cars, and so on...

I have a '63 Olds F85 Convertible 4 Speed, that I tried to sell, but nobody here wanted it for 2000.-$ so now I wanna part it out. I have seen, that it is also a T10. Is that the same as in the Cats?

    Thanks.

Here is a picture of the cool, Console with a rpm tach.

O.K. I found out that it should be the same tranny, but the gear ratio is differnt.
    1st: 2.54:1
    2nd: 1.92:1
    3rd: 1.51:1
    4th: 1.00:1

Do u think, this would make sense in a Cat?
