Hey Doug, how about the Twin Turbo Riv. Now that car would move. Another was the rear wheel drive Reatta with a GN engine in it. A fellow worker wanted to put plates on it so I could take it out the gate. I said no thanks, half the Flint police force would be chaceing me back through the gate. A week later it was in the scrap yard about a foot high.

Did not see the Riv. Was that the Reatta that you could not close the hood on? Then there was the Riv convertible that was supposed to go to the crusher. Seems it got uh ...rerouted. Was fine until the person that bought it took it to a dealership for service. Seems that Buick never made a Riviera convertible. There were also some Camaro's tested with GN motors. None of that stuff happens anymore.

The Reatta had a blister in the hood like an Opel GT for the pressure pipe. You could close the hood. There were some Camaro and Firebirds with GN engines. It's too bad they didn't produce them. I even saw a Skyhawk with a turbo engine. Yea, it's too bad nothing like that happens anymore.

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

There were Firebirds with the GN engine, which I'm sure just skipped your mind. The '89 Pace Cars had them. Loving reading you fella's posts on the old "skunkworks"!
