I'm with ya on that one Derek. Had to get a truck to pull our camper around that is sucking money away. GRRR About a 200 shot should get a low 11 out of it. If it will all stay together. Would at least like to put in another cam maybe that TA 210s.
Nitrous is amazing, cheap, and safe if done right. Few things to remember is that you do have to fill the bottle ($4.85/lb. here), and you do have to de-tune the car with timing for normal driving unless you want to reset it every time you go to race or get a controller. I also stepped up a jet size and threw in a couple gallons of LL100 just to cover my butt. You will generally get a 1/10 per 10 hp shot as a rule of thumb. You'll also burn a pound/100 hp/quarter mile, so a 10 lb. bottle on a 100 shot will last 10 passes give or take. One thing that people forget to mention, torque goes up more than the hp with nitrous, which makes it even more fun. You'll get more than the hp in torque, usually you can gain 150 ft.-lbs with a 100 hp shot. The dyno charts are also pretty cool, as is the seat of the pants, because you're going from let's say 350 hp to 450 hp almost instantaneously when you hit it. The dyno charts go straight up, basically. I always launched on it, but I broke rear ends and twisted drive shafts regularly when I got the chassis set up to hook. I went from a pretty mild 12.7 street small block engine to something that could go 11.8 with a 100 shot. I never did run the quarter with anything bigger than that, but with the rule of thumb, could've been low 11s with a 150 hit. I drove around with that big of a shot and it was a blast. I highly recommend it..........
