well, I didn't break the GT-37 last year, so we'll run it again. I may have slightly wounded it, but she's still together. I got my bonus from work a few weeks ago so I have money burning a hole in my pocket.

Thanks to Jeff Sawruk I have a new eaton posi and 3.90 gears. Just need to build a new rear end so both tires spin. FINALLY finish the tune up I started last year. Check the trans. Do front brakes. get and install a tach. Find a better shifter so I'm not driving with the whiskers. Sorry Brian, I know you like that look, but I need to change it. I also plan on having polyglas on the car for Martin. I plan on bringing it to St. Louis, but I don't know what I'll have done by them as the next couple weeks I'm busy with fantasy baseball stuff.

I think the big news will be for Stanton 09. Planning on having a new motor max'd out to NHRA specs and set the original off to the side. And if Dave H is wondering, I think 09 or 10 I'll start the much needed and long overdue W-31 resto since that car NEEDS to attend.

Hats off to Pure Stock racer Dave Hemker. Dave took time out of a free weekend to come over and do a pre-tech on the Buick I want to race. Dave pointed out some things that will need to be changed. Hopefully I will be able to get these done. He also pointed out the test and tune day at Stanton in April.
Thanks also goes out to Mark W. for the offer of help. Mark I haven't lost your number, Just didn't want to bug you just yet. when the weather breaks I'd like to drive the car down and meet you. I really look forward to Joining the PSMCDR group, It will be a blast I know! Plus I have seen all the open coolers and grills in the parking lots of the hotels. :beers2: Since I plan on street driving the car I would like a PSMCDR front plate...where do I get one? Hope to see most of you at the test and tune. Jim

    JJ,

Those plates are available from the Pure Stock organizers, Dan Jensen and/or Bob Boden. You may want to have an extra one to put on the back of your car when you race at the track so your on road plate isn't showing. Some insurance companies don't look too fondly upon people who race these cars and we do get into magazines regularly.

Try e-mailing Bob or Dan for the plate. Hopefully they have an extra.
Looking forward to checking out your Buick.

I'll be back to Stanton this year with my ex-FAST car, the blue hemi 4spd challenger, all converted back to stock. It never was fast, but it's sure fun to drive.:3gears:

I'm not in your class and much slower, but that's exactly the way I feel about my Ramrod. I hope to get my hp back one of these days and back off on the gear, the suspension, and the tune to enjoy it again on the street.

nothing yet and wont wont what i'll have until about a month before stanton. may be carless again. of course, i am ALWAYS willing to thrash, er, i mean DRIVE someone elses car. :3gears: lol! hopefully we will get the trans out of Chris J's convertible and have it gone thru and MAYBE i will get to run that one again. maybe. would hate to have to be a spectator but at least i could get alot of pictures for once. also, the guy i sold the 73 Gran Torino Sport to in the U.K. is going to try and make it here to spectate. No matter what, i wont be missing it for anything but my own funeral and even then...........
