since I've never had mine off, that'll give me a reason to change the valve cover gaskets  of course as slow as my car is does it matter :Do No:

OK, I agree. Let's start over and have tech include a valve cover off and a P & G for everybody. We've got all day Friday to do it. :bglasses:

If someone cares to look under my valve cover, they may end up seeing some roller tips or roller rockers. The restoration crowd has driven up prices of old 1.65 stamped rockers into the zone.Easily will bring 300.00.The ones on my 69 are borrowed!I can buy new Harland Sharp for 230.00,there is no performance increase,so why should it be a problem?Alright, let the beatings begin:spank:

Well, the rules say only "no full roller rockers"

So I guess cause a stock Pontiac couldn't run a full race without punching out the rockers...or so I'm told....your in with roller tip. :beer

Yeah, I understand that's another one that changed somewhere along the line and isn't correct.

I guess it's whatever the rules say............and what they don't..........

Yep.....ain't been a rule yet what hurt a Poncho.

Sawruk told me for years that Pontiac was GM's most durable engine.

Then Dan told me the the rockers were a durability issue and John here tells us they are all worn out. :Do No:

Oh well, one rule that has only changed .010" over 12 years regards displacement.

So I'm pretty sure strokers are not allowed.

Don't get too cocky too quick around here! We are all good friends and we bust each others chops on occassion, but nothing like ROP! Besides, until you have run one of these events, its best to listen twice as much as you speak!! :Smarty:

On the camshaft rule I was told 1% on the .050 duration numbers. Best thing to do is call Dan and talk with him directly.

Glasgo didn't you have a rocker issue in the magnum 400 car a few years ago????
Before it was put in the notso pure stock race at Norwalk !!!:puzzled:

I've found Summit racing long slot factory replacements work great -dirt cheap!! And the just so happen to work even better with my over the counter $79.00$ GM cam and lifters!!!
NO Bull$hit club cams needed... :Do No:
Or wait I'll just tweak the lobe seperation a little this way and change this ramp this way and put in plastic lifters and try three different cams on the dyno .................. ohh what that wouldn't be STOCK any more now would it?????????:Do No:

That wasn't aimed at you by the way-
just observations over the last few years in this race that make me want to throw UP. Just a personel problem
