For me, growing up in the 70's and up. I have a super wide range of music. My Skylark in high school only had AM with the FM converter. So listening to the oldies was the only thing I could get for 4 years lol.
Hard to believe I have the Beach Boys "She's real fine my 409" next to Korn "Right Now" :p

That's really funny actually. My dad had a really old ipod that he downloaded his favorite songs on to when I was 4 and 5. I grew up listening to Collective Soul- The World I Know on repeat at least 347 times based on the itunes listening counter:eek:
We would start each morning of summer camp by driving 20 minutes to the base of a mountain to be picked up by the camp bus. On the way it was always Stone Temple Pilots, AC/DC, Interstate Love song or Hells Bells, and 7 year old me loved it.
Then I learned to play guitar, shredded for a little while.
Now I am still a bass player, won Best Bassist at my high school Battle of the Bands, its so much fun to play. Since about 14 I've been into any song that has a sick bassline, so naturally I know how to play most of the Chili Peppers stuff. Music keeps me sane, just like this car stuff. Ozzy- "See you on the other side" is coming through the earbuds now, and yeah, no matter what happens music will still hopefully be there waiting at the fiery or pearly gates. ;)

    Awesome memory John!
I can only follow a few songs my dad liked. like Johnny Cash. Other than that he was really into the country music of the 70's. That's all i can remember anytime I rode with him.

Thanks, yeah I've been pretty fortunate and gotten to be friends with quite a few bands as my tattoo artist knows and does work for lots of them, and he and his wife are two of my best friends.... He's tattoo'd KISS, Vince Neil, Five Finger Death Punch, Bad Wolves, and quite a few more.....pretty cool when Vince or FFDP come to town and we get to go have lunch with them on their off days. Here he is last time FFDP was in town and he did Jeremy the drummer's Gene Simmons tattoo. Done lots of work on Jason Hook the guitarist....they met Jason years ago when he was playing guitar for Mandy Moore hahaha....

I can say I never heard of them, but their beat seems familiar.

I guess their biggest claim-to-fame was being in the movie "Valley Girl". They were playing in a night club in a scene in the movie.

Lucas, go ahead. You can say it, "Old". The word "mature", according to many, including my wife, went out the window along time ago. And, Thanks for liking my eclectic tastes.

I don't call anybody old anymore since I'm damnnear 40....That seemed old till I got here and realized I probably seem decrepit to guys that are 25.
