    Hey Guys,
First post but have been reading(stalking) the threads here for months. Just bought a 1964 Wildcat with dual quad setup but missing the air cleaner.
Are the Super Wildcat air cleaners the same for different years? I would hate to buy one at the prices they go for to find out it does not fit.
It is a stock intake manifold and carbs. KX code stamped on block.
Anyone have one for sale? Doesn't have to be pretty.

1964 Wildcat 2 door sport coupe Super Wildcat
1966 Wildcat 2 door convertible GS Custom
Both numbers matching and mostly original

I have a 2x4 air cleaner posted. Should fit any year nailhead, but there may have been several different types.

Only 2 versions I know of- regular and Cali emission one with a rubber tube off the drivers side snorkel.
    Fred's should work!

Welcome from another Canuck gscat. As Ted states, Fred's should work on your car.

Where in Canada are you located?

Thanks Ted. I got the 66 this spring and have had a blast driving it all summer. Within a week I knew I was sick with Wildcat fever and wanted more.
I actually wanted a "65 Wildcat Custom Coupe...Dual Quad Super Wildcat, 4-speed." but they are somewhat hard to find. Ever seen one?? ha-ha.
When the 64 with dual quad showed up locally, 1/2 hour away. I had to have it as well.
The hunt for a 4 speed continues.

Yup, I know exactly where that is. :beer Driven by there many times over the years. If you think Ted has only one dual quad 4 speed car, you'd be incorrect.

Hey GSFRED, The air cleaner arrived today and I am extremely happy with it. I can't wait to get rid of the after market ones and try it out. Thank you very much and great packaging job.

Hey Steve, I was looking at that listing earlier today. I don't have many good pictures but here is a few. The wood steering wheel has a repro horn bar now. Huge thanks to Buickbonehead (Rick in Texas) makes them and some really cool Wildcat T-shirts. I am going to try getting better pictures this winter and make an album on here.

I do have a really nice copy of that brochure.
Funny story about the 66 cat.
I had wanted a Wildcat for many years. My Dad had a 1968 four door hard top in the early 70's when I was a kid and I loved that car. And my Dad as well of course. Before I became an angry teenager anyway. They have always been hard to find and I had pretty much given up on the idea. I have an eBay store where I sell electrical parts for industry so I am on there every day working. One day a random window pops up saying here's an item you may be interested in and it was the 66. I thought might as well look even though I was not seriously considering buying a car. I already have two classic motorcycles and no time to ride. Anyway one look and I was hooked and it was in Canada 6 hours away. 2 hours to go before end of auction and lots of bids. The highest bidder was only around $1000 away from the buy it now price and I could not understand why no one would pull the trigger for an extra grand. With no time to think about it, ask the seller questions or even read his description closely I just hit buy it now. I scrounged the money together and jumped on a train to Ottawa from Hamilton. The seller turned out to be a great guy and the car was better than his pictures and description. He also threw in a bunch of parts and paperwork not listed in the sale. I drove it the 7 hours home with a grin from ear to ear and I still smile every time I climb behind the wheel. My wife and 3 kids love it too. So here's a happy ending story for the internet, not too many of them around lately. Oh and then I saw the 64 for sale 30 minutes down the road and had to have that one as well. Now something is still missing from this Buick saga, 1964, ----, 1966. The blanks need filling in.

Nice! The 68 was a good influence on me too, I had inherited my grandma's 4-d LeSabre and drove the heck out of it. Even though I'm all into the 65's , there has not been one that has been drive the heck out of worthy like some of my other cars through the years. The 68 year has been good to me, my 68 GS400 has been reliable and my go-to car.
Keep on enjoying that ride, there is nothing like it from new cars.
    Ted
