Very well kept and restored 67 Buick Gran Sport GS 400 Convertible.
400 cu.in 340Hp. Big block. Matching #'s Allways garaged.
3000 miles on professionally rebuilt Tranny & Motor.

There were only 2149 of these convertible's made in 1967. Not many still around!
High retail around $65,000. Average around $28,000. Car runs perfectly! A few chips here and there, but overall in good shape. No dents.

PB, PS, PW. PT. Everything works except the clock.
Lots of new parts, New Top, New upholstery, carpet interior.
Fresh tranny fluid and filter change. Motor oil and filter change.
New plugs and wires. Lights and blinkers new. Near new tires.
Car has been owned by older gentleman who recently past away. Death forces sale.
Car was mostly in dry storage and started and ran once a month or so. Fuel was drained and replaced with 92 octane (non ethanol) Won't be disappointed with this rare beauty. This is the real deal!

Is it the lighting or am I looking at green interior?

 

Definitely green, and dangerously close to (my) home. Very sweet looking car.

 

A green top was not one of the four colors offered (white, black, blue, & ivory) for a convertible top on a '67 GS400. A green interior was also not offered in a GS400. A green vinyl top was offered on the hardtop only.

I have some more photos of this car at home from when it was posted for sale online many years ago and I think it includes a photo of the trim tag. I'll try to dig it up.

They must have special ordered the reproduction upholstery in green. I know Legendary will do it, for an extra fee. Here is a list of the interior and top colors for the GS400 hard top (4617) and GS400 convertible (4667). VB = vinyl buckets, EC = extra cost. I always found it odd that the convertible top colors and vinyl top colors offered were different. I also thought it was strange that the red bucket seat interior was only offered in the convertible and the aqua bucket seats were only offered in the hardtop (and sedan).

 

ad says 'restored'. i don't see anything 'restored' under the hood. price should be adjusted so that oem parts are purchased and installed.
any car for big money and using 'restored' SHOULD be correct to the year of that car.
other than that it becomes a useful car that's close to a used tractor.

 

What would be an appropriate adjusted price for this car in the current condition?

 

That car NEEDS 20K + to make it near right.... Other than that its just a Clown car with Bad make up......

 

Come on , it’s sad to see how Buick guys bad mouth Buicks . If was a base model Malibu would bring mid 30s

 

Seems like most decent 67 Malibu/Chevelle convertible are mid 40s and up, true chevelle ss convertibles can be 70s to sky’s the limit
This a true GS under 30 might not be perfect but really ? I get pointing out like they never came with green insides but don’t get the complete bashing of a car that probably not far off on price

It's a driver. I think it looks good. Not everyone cares about the correct lug nuts and dated spark plug wires.

Yes, it would cost a lot to make it concours. The buyer won't care about that.

No,it is not a concours restored car. Our cars were only factory correct when picked up as a new car at the dealership. After that Day 2/ Katy bar the door!. Need a radiator hose ? Umpteen dollars at the dealer. Go to NAPA,Western Auto,even Sears. Cheaper and worked well. Same applies to almost every part on every car from that era. If this car is complete,safely drivable and decent looking an average joe like me would be happy to have it. The value is in the eyes and wallet someone who would like to own a 67 GS convertible

 

I agree. Not every car needs to be concours correct in order to be enjoyable. I wouldn’t kick this one out of my garage. Heck it’s far nicer than my ‘67 GS convertible.

 

With some of the comments on for sale listings lately, I'll throw a disclaimer out there, don't look at my car too closely at the Nationals lol.

Although I did buy a few period correct hose clamps to throw on there.

 

The car seems to be in good condition with newer top and interior. Yes not the greatest color choice interior color but the owner must have liked it, may he rest in peace. I do not think $29K is a bad price for a good condition & running convertible.

Some of the comments of members here is disheartening. Obviously the man built the car the way HE liked it. If you don't like it you don't have to stroke a check for it! That simple.
After looking at the foul comments and seeing the locations of the members they came from I now realize how much I take southern hospitality for granted.
