Guys...I am sorry but I posted this in the wrong section last week so I just now deleted that thread. This is basically a new thread and even tho I have a few "interested parts buyers" from that original 'misplaced" thread, I will hope to sort out who wanted what. Pix First:

OK now... MOST of you guys interested, were waiting for my updated info. TODAY, I visited this guy ..this time, I had old clothes and could actually get down'n dirty looking for ANY good, usable stuff on this rust-o-buket GS...here's what I saw today:

and finally....here's the news: I DO NOT OWN this car. YET...the guy has been parting it out on C/L and he has sold some stuff: ie, exhaust manifolds, tail and side marker lenses and some oddball trim pieces. He is gettin close to accepting my $500 offer. WHY $500? Well, it HAS a BB steering shaft. it HAS a BB crossmember. It HAS a BB T400 tranny. It HAS BB aluminum a/c brackets and power steering brackets too! It HAS a trunkfull of trims including side moldings from a "custom" and rear wheelwell trims, a pretty good A/C dash cluster, it HAS a BB driveshaft. It HAS a LOW MILEAGE REBUILT 400 motor with "what I am told" are JE pistons, a 107 cam, a NEW Stinger ignition system and heads CONVERTED to STAGE 1 VALVES too! (the motor was rebuilt 14 over years ago....) He had it running for a very short time only to discover a spun bearing, so he says he was so disappointed, he simply parked it. I have no idea of the motor condition other than he invested a ton of money and the best of parts, "at that time". So, I am taking a chance it is worth my offer of $500. Anyway, thats my story and I'm stickin to it.

forgot. To mention the block was decked, line bored and balanced by Nelson Brothers, a very well known and popular local engine builder.... So, the "PR" code is no longer visable because of the machining/decking.
DIBS ONLY so far are as follows:
MaintoolGS: Grille and fender louvers, trunk trim, ww trims, arm rests...
    Kevin McCloug: Driveshaft (for Randy?)
    SportwagonGS: air cleaner
    Ken mild: Radiator overflow bottle
Goodwrench04963: RH inner fender well... which is rusty btw.
    Goran: A/C dash faceplate
    BIG MAtt: wiper switch

PLEASE UNDERSTAND...this is NOT my car YET....hopefully by saturday afternoon it will be.
AT THAT POINT, I will remove each piece and post details of condition and price of each part as per the lineup mentioned above.

I cannot put a price on stuff off a car that isnt mine yet. :Dou:
    BUT SOON. very soon!

I always wondered what a rust free Florida car looked like? I might be interested in the aircleaner assembly with heat tube. Tony

Hi Alan....the motor in this 68 rusto bucket has an old Holley 750 dualfeed NOT a factory QJ. ...and as far as the fender vents, I dont think I can help you out there either. This GS has one lower vent at the bottom of the dawgleg as shown in pix #2, the first group of pix above.

wheelz,I am looking for rear wheel opening molding.
Has anyone asked for the rear bumper? Is it driver quality?
    Thanks,Eggs

  17. wheelz

    wheelz 'B' is for Buick.

RANDY....driveshaft is yours IF.... and yes, the stik dip is on its way.
EGGMAN... the rear bumper is basically a core. It doesnt have holes but it appears rust has taken over on the inside. The front bumper is a whole differ'nt story. the CHROME PLATING is the only thing holding this bumper together...:Dou: (see pix)
..and both the rear wheel moldings appear to be the shorter version...ie: they dont go all the way around? I'm not well versed in the 68-69 model but, IS that standard ww trim? Wheelz, Tampa Bay

What does it have for a rear end? 8.2? Posi? Gear ratio? If it is what I'm looking for I would be interested.
