Took her out to stretch her legs on the highway and a wash!

    Welcome here.
This place is great for resto tips and inspiration.
More restoration tips can be found in George's site, he is a active member here and have a great deal of information and pictures here: www.buickperformance.com
Buickrat, he is at least in the same continent!

Hi Ukranian guy. I have been (kind of) looking for your car ever since the You tube video was posted elsewhere a couple of weeks ago, as I recognized one of the buildings in it. I am also in Winnipeg, and I'm always looking for any Buicks.

Cool story about your dad driving the car every day.:beer :beer I wish my dad had such faith in me and my brothers. I tried talking him into a 70 4-4-2, but he would have nothing with that idea.

How about adding your first name to your signature, as we're all very friendly here.

BTW, I can help fill you in with some info about what Daves69 mentioned, it's a rather long convoluted saga.:Dou:

Replacement panels are available from Then and Now Restoration, if I recall correctly.

Yes, it worked at one time, but when my father passed away, i immediately done away with it. Don't believe in A/C! I removed it from the inside, have yet to remove that core under the hood, hopefully this summer though.

Welcome aboard! Enjoy the board and ask questions. I love the original look and kind of partial to Burnish Saddle, but mines a convertible. It's a Buick so drive it.....

You need to make friends with a welder.

I intend to, or perhaps just continue in this one... it will be a long term one. and at this point I personally don't even know if I will get done in my life time. I am committed to fixing it up as i save up cash... but until i finish my everyday car loan and knock down a few credit cards.. I will be limited... i figure in 2 years i shall be 100% committed to rebuilding her

Jurij, take some time, and go through this thread about saving another 70 GS by replacing the body shell with a rust free one!! I'd bet it would be far cheaper in the long run than trying to replace or repair your rusty parts.

I did go thru that thread, admittedly I did not READ IT, as I was gawking at the photos and craftsmanship!

My goal was to keep the number smatching...
    guess thats not realistic..
