Some poor uninformed soul is out in his garage right now admiring his/her new purchase in complete oblivion that they were screwed. "Caveat Emptor", but this is borderline criminal if not outright criminal.

Caveat..What???  I would think by now the new owner has an idea he was taken to the farm..Someone on this board may know the buyer.

    I agree, this is criminal.

Hey man, I only know "caveat emptor" from an old Brady Bunch show where Greg got taken on a car. I also only know classical music from what I heard on Bugs Bunny cartoons, so don't be too impressed!

I hope the buyer has been informed and is taking whatever action he has available to him!

It might be an idea to include known issues (re-bodies, salvage title, etc.) as an item in the registry. We all put great importance in the value of having a car documented and listed in the registry and these type of details would sure help in researching a potential purchase. It may also help establish a cars true value when all the details are known.

Seemed like a nice car but at that price I would expect no issues like some that have been mentioned. The price may have been different if these items where known in advance and disclosed. The seller may not have known these details... :Do No:

Just an idea. What do you guys think about these details being added to the registry?

    Hi Rob,

Sorry to disagree, but that would only be good information for potential buyers, and it will prevent people from wanting to register a car they don't know the entire history of. Also, what about all the cars that are already in the registry - how would you manage that? The registry cars are probably the majority of all the known of/documented cars, so I don't think you would ever convince Mark or Marco that this would be a good idea.

Was this car owned at one time by a Michigan board member in its unrestored condition several years ago?

OK guys, I know the man who bought the car, and I would like to know if all of this is just hear say or does anyone have any facts about the body/frame issues?

I can get you in direct contact with him, and come on- if it was any of you, you would want to know first hand....

    Thanks...
