Thank You for that information, however I was lead to believe that there is no mirror on a 1970 passenger door. And to David, pics are appreciated but if you think the door is good I will take your word for it,don't go to to much trouble digging it out just for that. I'm sure I'll take it. Thank You, Chet
Here are some pics of the door. It is a 71 door. There is a bit of damage on the front point and a little rust in the middle bottom but is all there. Sorry about the delay. Let me know if you are still interested and we will make arangements.
Thanks for pulling that out David, however you say it's a 71 door so I assume it has holes where the side mirror goes,I'm really trying to avoid that(probably unrealistic) but I'll have to pass. Thank You for your time, Chet
There are no mirror holes in the door. That is ok if you do not want the door. I wanted to make sure you had pics to look at before making a trip. I will take less if you change your mind.
Chet, Passenger side mirrors were an option for 1971-72. Either as a dealer installed option (Chrome mirror), or the factory installed sales code O-6 Sport mirror package. The vast majority of Skylark and GS passenger doors from the 1971-72 will NOT have been drilled for a mirror, unless someone has subsequently installed one.
I'll take the door David, call me at (734) 904-7223 to make arrangements at your convenience, Thank You, Chet
Thank You for that information,I thought the Government mandated them in 71,good to know. Chet Knight
