1971 Stage 1 4-speed GSX?

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

The OK FINAL TEST stamp was still being used on the '67 GS400 with A/C as Redman1 shows above but I've never seen it on an unrestored '70-up car. I have no idea about the step children cars. My dad had one of those stamps made nearly 30 years ago when he was restoring the A/C system on a '56 Buick for a customer.

Thank you George, I guess I was trying to avoid bothering Pete if he was not the current owner of the car since there had been so much controversial discussion back in 2017.

I sent Pete a text and he said the X was long gone. This must be someone else selling the car and I wonder if they know it is a 350 car???

I tried to find the link telling the location of the frame number that identifies a car as a 350 or 455. None of the old links work any longer. Can someone please tell me where to look?

There are holes in the frame rails near or on the rear axle hump that are different between a BB and SB also. Seems like one has a hex shaped hole and the other a slotted hole. Can’t remember which is which, been awhile since I’ve looked.

Troy, do you remember the frame number for a 350 car?

I have a real 70 stg car and the number on my frame is 1233131 and it differs from the numbers posted for a big block car?

70 is different frame than 71-72 from what I understand

I think the number you are looking at is the bumper bracket. You need to look again...

I think you are right. I'll keep looking. Thanks.
I am particularly wanting the number for a 71 455 and 350 car.

Sometimes they will be partly under the bracket.

You know… I could never find that number stamp on my early build Stage Kenne-Bell car. Where “exactly” on the frame would that be? And I looked when the totally rust free body was off the frame… AND completely rust free frame. There just were not any numbers anywhere on the frame that I could find.

The numbers should have been there. Also VIN in the middle of the frame.
Below I circled in red where the frame numbers are, sometimes they are a little farther back.
    Hope that helps.

Nelson, what year is the car with the Hayes number and is it a big block car?

This is the number I found in my 71 convertible 455 GS.

1972 and yes a BB convertible. I believe all same year convertibles SB or BB are the same.

I was able to get the number off the frame on the Gold 71 "GSX". The number looked like 3992388.
They changed the add to not say numbers matching so I guess it really doesn't matter what the car is to the buyer. They should not be buying it thinking it was anything but a pretty Buick.
