Thanks for the compliments guy's:TU: I just got the wheels today, I had them made into 15x7 from the 14x6 that they were originally. Now they went from being rare wheels, to very rare, the only set like this I think? Larry, I bought this off a board member, Kevin Walsh out In Buffalo, NY. It was owned at one time by CJP69(Chris Pollack) out in Washington, where the car came from originally. Kevin put alot of money into the car, and it's very, very nice, in my opinion. Super straight, and wet sanded flat. Hope to get it out and enjoy it as much as possible this year. Thanks again, Tom
So... after some research into decoding the vin and body tags: 4 dr hardtop, assembled in flint, mi. with a trim code TR 140 which I read as green cloth, which is what is in it, nect to that is 43 G PNT, which if I am correct, is Seamist Green, which is verifiable, my buddy and I spotted it peeking through some chips by the headlight bezels. I think the G means it had a med. grn vinyl top, which means the vinyl either faded to an almost tanish dark creme, or it was replaced, and faded, which I take much more likely. Bottom line of the body tag reads 06D A52, which I think means assembled the 4th week of June, 72? If anyone can correct me on these codes, please do. I personally like the dark green much better than the seamist, so that is the color it wil be getting redone in. Other than that, hope to get some pics soon!! Ron
Your car reminds me of 3 Michael Jackson ALBUMS:BAD,DANGEROUS and INVINCIBLE!!! And I love the Steelies and the Dog Dish Caps. Jay B.Britt,Jr.
You're familiar with E. Paul?? He's been a legend around this neck of the woods for a long time. I guess that's what happens when you're the only guy with a Buick...that runs like a bear. He packed it up and moved to Florida a couple years ago... There's probably a quiet, mostly older community with posi marks all over it's roads... :3gears:
Thanks guys....:beer.... Here's the BBB (Big Blue Bastard) with his twin sister also named BBB. They are such a grin to drive. They look the same, yet they are totally different. The four speed car is my favorite. Yeah Chris it's the same car you have a picture of. Jim
My brother and I helped Paul do the body on the car...undercoating coming off was a bear. nathan I think still lives in the house. We talk to Paul when he comes up every so often. My brother had a '72 Stage 1 4spd Convertible. He also has a '71 Centurion convert and I had, at one time, a '69 Wildcat 2dr. Now I just have a '66 GTO and a '81 Trans Am. I think I played soccer with you way back when...you're mom coached right? god, seems like a lifetime ago. Chris
Yeah. My mother coached for close to 25 years, giving it up a couple years ago. Did you play in the town league or the Spring league? I remember when he did the body on that car....didn't he use the tree in his yard to hoist it up??
8+ years in the fall league, one spring tour. Yea, we used a chain fall I think...hoisted it up...fun job.
here's my baby, Elizabeth. She's a 1972 run of the mill green on green skylark. She's been a work in progress on and off for the past 7 years. Only have aftermarket wheels on her right now because i'm restoring a set of 15" buick wheels. She started off life puke green (that really lightish color, i think some have called it seamist) I chose another factory green and I love it. I will make a buildup thread later if thats ok with all you guys. Mike
