I still need to answer some questions from above, but I wanted to get an update on here. The last hood I made did not come out of the mold well, it messed up the hood mold necessitating repairs. While I was at it I decided to to some maintenance to the underside mold as well. That has taken longer than I thought. The hood mold is complete and ready to go back in service. The underhood mold was repaired and just resprayed with tooling getcoat yesterday. It'll sit for a day or two to harden and then I'll sand and buff it out. I made a few small changes that won't be obvious to the final product, but hopefully reduces the production time. I need to get rolling on these hoods again to justify my business, don't want to piss off the IRS! I've also have had to spend some time working on my GS. I'm getting it ready for the GS Nationals next month. Since the last time I raced it 2 years ago I've installed new TA roller rockers, a TA-413 cam, rebuilt the MSD, the RobbMC fuel pump and the Biggs 950 carb. A new aluminum radiator just arrived from Summit and a new TA timing cover and oil pump should be here tomorrow. Hopefully I'll see some of you at the nationals.

Underhood mold repairs complete and sanded down.

Hold mold repairs completed. I fixed a few cracks and extended the back about an inch to produce a smoother cut when it's trimmed.

New tooling gelcoat was sprayed then sanded with 400 / 600/ 1000 / and 1500 grit prior to polishing and release wax.

The underhood mold was sprayed yesterday. It'll sit for a day or two and then start sanding.

You can disregard my email/messgae. I take it my hood was the one you just referenced not releasing from the mold well. That is all I was looking for was a status. All is good on my end and I look forward to it when the time comes where it is ready.

Also, Mr. Brian Linstrom passed away recently. He lives nearby and he was on your list of folks waiting for hoods. He will be missed.
