As I recall, the headlight doors are not exactly the same from 70-72, though they will physically fit. I can't recall the minor difference, but you can do a search.

If Mark doesn't have what you need, I think I have hinges and a headlight door or two from a 1970.

    Add this to Marc's list:
If you get that car then you will probably have this piece too. If so I would like you to cut all that is pictured out and some of the lower quarter section. Cut it all the way back to the wheel well. If you need more info let me know.

    Marc, and Jarrod.

I will be picking up the other 72 this week, as long as it is what the guy said it was.

We currently have the lower hinges. Headlight bezels we have on hand now are driver quality, I'll get you some pictures. I will let you know the condition of the grill when I get this other car.

Jarrod, I have some good sections from cars on hand that you are needing. Im about to cut the cowl area out of one. The car I would cut it out of has nice quarters, with only a few mild rust spot behind the rear tire.

Just to clarify this is what he is going to need:

I already have lower rear qtr sections. I don't mind if you cut the piece needed in 2 sections so it is easier to ship. We'll talk more when you get the car.

I think it would ship OK by bus.
That section doesn't have to be from a convertible does it?

    wheelz 'B' is for Buick.

Guys,...MOST of you guys know this but for some newbies.., headlight besels are ALL different!!! Altho they bolt up the same, the 71 and 72 appear the same and the grilles/bumpers/hood trim will fit, they WONT BE RIGHT but they'll mix...and the 70 is a whole nother ballgame....headlite besels wont fit unless you change stuff ie: the grille is different, the lower grill trim pieces are different...and of course the bumper is way different than 71-72. IF IT WERE ME..buy the model year BESELS pertinent to your car and save youseff a lot of gunky fitment issues. . JM.02CW! Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Off a coupe is fine. It really doesn't matter until you ge higher on the panel. so were good to go.

Oh yeah post pix's of those 72' bezels here before you send them to him/me. The car isn't mine but the car will be nice when done and I'm picky.

The 72 bezels I have on the shelf are driver quality at best. Hopefully, this car I pick up tomorrow will have some nice ones. I'll post pictures of everything for you guys.

As long as the little chrome area on them are good, I can fix the rest of it. Since they are painted mostly black.

Jarrod I believe tjhe correct finish on the inside of the Skylark is a light argent and the GS is a dark argent niot black. I have NOS on mine but its at the body shop but the wife has NOS also and they are in the garage. I'll take a look see

Thanks John, information noted for future use. I always thought they were black. I guess they faded or just looked black from the ones I have had.
I do believe for this particular job they will end up black.

Jarrod, how is the best way to cut that section out? I want to make sure we do it the correct way. so it will be best.

As long as the rollers are nice, not sure if Marc got a good set off of ebay yet and if he has made a deal with Carmantx yet, so I am waiting as well.

Carmantx: Use a cut off wheel where it is easily accessible, and then use a plasma cutter or torch on the inner parts. Is my suggestion.
