I have owned the car for 10 years. I bought it out of a museum in Minnesota, It was origionally a California car and I also have the origional license plate. car has A/C and 8 Track Player. The engine block could use a fresh paint as it looks kind of old, otherwise the car is solid straight through. If you can provide me with a list of questions, it would be much easier....Thank You

Does your car have california emissions? Nice blue plate, mine reads 1BADGSX.
    Thanks

    $$100k is NUTS!!!!!!
I'm not complaining, I'm happy becasue I have the EXACT same car....  the only thing I notice you have different is tilt wheel. My 8track is more under the glove box though, I wonder why mine is there or yours is above the floor shifter..... :Do No:

Mine does have a 73 replacement block in it, original owner must have had an issue and back then who knew what values Muscle cars would bring..... I'm not too worried about value though, I have original heads, intake and matching carb and there's nothing else I have found yet that is not correct.

Smythe Buick is still around and I drive by it all the time, they also sell Pontiac's & GMC's and I've bought cars there before. My grandfather bought his 73' 455 Electra there, it was sold back in late 80's when he got a Suburban.

I'd be interested in that license plate frame, I doubt anyone esle would care, let me know.

I also meant the license plate itself..... I have a custom one that reads "GSXTRA" based on our magazine, but I would rather have an original blue with yellow letters that came on those years of cars. Mine is white with dark blue letters because it's not too old.

I think in 1970 is when CA moved to that blue with yellow, before that was actually the best looking and would be perfect for QQ cars.... they were Black with Yellow letters. That's what I have on my 65'

Yes the car has the california emissions on it. Yes...100K is nuts, but that what the value is.....sure was not valued at that when I bought the car. That is awesome that smythe is still around, never thought it would be. I am also parting out a 71 GS455 and I have for sale a 71 stg1 Conv 4spd BENCH! (1 of 9). Car is unrestored-origional-solid but has non numbers matching engine. Divorce is not fun fellas!

The GSX has STG 2 cams (idle is so lumpy), B4B Manifold, Headers and Exhaust. I do not have the origional parts as I bought it that way.

did you buy it from a guy in Northern Cal?

It looks just like a car that this guy Vince bought (I'm also a Vince), he found me on the buick registry emailed me and brought the car over one day about 5-6 years ago. He was disapointed with the performance, so I Power Tuned it for him which helped, but it was obvious it needed a converter, it wouldn't stall much past 1200, so it really lugged. I stayed in touch on email once or twice after that, but never heard from him again.

    is this that car?

PS: almost forgot, what about the plate, would you be willing to sell me that front plate?

In the future if you still have the GNX would you trade down to a Grand National, I would like to trade up to a GNX. My GN has 19,563 miles on it and has the rare astroroof. farmer!boy
