    Ben,

I can imagine you are fielding alot of calls and messages. Just don't want to get lost in the crowd. When do you want to get together?

You and Hurst are first in line, I can only do 1 car at a time but to lawyer issues. You (oldtime) and Hurst are first in line, just be patient with me.

    Ha! Which one? :)

I've bought a few cars at Smythe also. One of the owners (maybe a manager) used to have a 70 Stage 1 that sat on the parking lot on the roof of the dealership all day. I remember driving by there all the time looking up at that car.

When I bought my '87 Regal Turbo off the showroom floor I traded in my '70 GS 350. It had 56k miles on it in 1988. Man I miss both of those cars...

Back in 1981 I was working down on the dock and a guy drove up with a QQ GSX. Not often did you see one out on the road, even back then. My QQ GSX was sitting in the parking lot as it was my daily driver at the time. We talked for quite a while. I think the guys last name was Ross. He was from the San Jose area. I should have it written down somewhere at home. It had CA plates and was a Stage 1, auto with AC. He also owned a 70 LS6 Chevelle. Made the comment the LS6 was a bunch faster. We went for a drive and the GSX was a dog. After work he came over to my house (he was just up visiting friends in WA, and in no rush to go anywhere). His dist. weights were rusted and stuck, retarded timing and his secondary lockout link was keeping his secondaries from opening. All easy fixes and he was surprised at the difference afterwards. The "70 GSX" blue plate looks familiar, I'm thinking its the same car.
There is another QQ GSX in No. Cal. that a friend owns. Its a Stage 1, auto, loaded with options and original paint. His parents bought it since 73 if I remember. He also has an absolutely PERFECT 70 Stage 1 4 speed car.
Sorry for hijacking the thread, just wondering if the DelBuick X is the same car I saw years ago.

Found the guys contact info. in Calif. with the GSX. Thought I had it stashed away here. Probably shouldn't list it though without talking to him first at least. Also a couple black and white photos of another GSX taken by a friend down in a So. Calif. parking lot back in around 74 or 75.

It probably is the same car, as I said it is the origional plate that came with the car from what I was told by who I bought it from.

    HurstGNX & oldtimebaseball.....I sent you both PM's, I am ready to go...(sorry)
