Up for sale is a 1971 Skylark Custom owned by stage2man (David A)
here in our Houston Buick circle. David bought Scotts Pro Street car
so that's his project now!! Years ago David found this old lady original owner car in Kansas and brought it home. Car is rust free. Then started his big block 455 conversion. Everything has been done front to back.

71 Skylark custom 2 door Bamboo Cream with brown top.

464 ci 2353 speed pro piston short block (76 block)
    straightline cam 226/228 @ .050
430 heads ported (bigtime by G&G) with AM&P stage 1+ valves and springs
    KB headers
stage 1 intake with AM&P oil tray pvc system
1000 comp series Thermoquad tweeked by Catlin
    mini-starter
    worked HEI and recurved
Built TH-350 with sprag and hub
    9 1/2 inch custom converter 3300 stall
8.5 rear with 3.73's and an Auburn Pro unit
    billet pulleys
    119 amp chrome alt
    15 Buick rallys
MT 295 15 drag radials (or street tires what you prefer)
    nice rechromed N-25 rear bumper

Overall nice car. Car was bought by a friend of ours who wanted it kept here in the circle of friends. He has 3 other cars, and found that this car just sits and is NEVER driven. He has moved and needs the room.
This is a nice turn key driver for someone. Everything has been done on the driveline.
Many of the Buick guys in Texas know this car from the Buick bash!!!!!!
And probably some of the non Buick guys also.
Car runs low 12's @ 109-110 range. The few times its been to the track.
Also was at the Buick Nats 2 times with the front tire off the ground.
I am listing this car for the good friend of ours.
    asking $8700

    Thanks
    Jeff

FWIW if you'd like to post the photos in this thread but aren't sure how I'd be more than happy to do it for you. Simply email them to me and I'll throw them up here.

I love the sleeper color combo too!!
Looks like a need to get a ticket on Southwest Air and drive that bad-boy back to california-maybe I need to drop a hint to the wife for a perfect Valentines gift for me!!!!! :Brow:
