Clarkie Chris here in Meaford I have a 1971 Lark custom convertible, I would love to see your car let me know! Chris
Thanks Chris. The car is currently being certified. With any luck it won't be long and I'll have it on the road for a little while before it goes off to storage. I've seen your car at the Owen Sound cruise night. I'm sure if nothing else, you will see me there next summer. Maybe we can set something up before theno No: I've had my '85 GMC there many times over the years and a few times this past summer. I've seen your car. Looks like a beauty.
Thanks Mike. It was really great to meet you and your family. I will treat the car as if it were a member of the family. Of course, it already IS a member of the family! I plan to keep the car for a looong time. My past with cars bears that out. I've owned my '85 GMC hot rod for half my life (18 years).
I have some work planed for my car this winter storing at home and working at home with My sons Josh and Jason are looking forward to the job this winter well see how interested they are when the temperatures goes WAY DOWN in January February. Plan 1 is the engine Bay. The car looks SWEET. we are looking at a lot of 70-72 Larks because plan 2 is the Body and paint (with any luck next winter) and the color today BROWN (Yuch) is out Original color is Rosewood (still not sold on it) but your Blue was interesting because we have the same Interior color. Penny wants a Dark burgandy. LOVE to see the car in person. Chris
As promised, here's a few photos, including one of me during the test drive, and the car on the trailer at Mike's place and the last one at a rest stop somewhere on I-94 in Michigan. I am super-happy with my purchase. Just sorting out the clutch, having the car pass a safety inspection (a requirement here in Ontario), and getting set up with Hagerty. Then, it's time on the road, although not much time because it will likely go into winter storage in a few short weeks.
