Saw on Buick GS Owners Facebook page. Looks to be a really loaded car. If anybody is looking. Evidently has a title problem but possibly fixable. $15k

It will be even worse once you get into it. Either part it out or get married to it.

Tilt, gauges, tach, power windows, sport mirrors, PS, N-25, buckets, vinyl top, chrome wheels.. Looks like a well optioned car! Along with the "alternator bracket power steering reservoir bracket" base... LOL

I told him that it had a great deal of good parts. Obviously he has other plans and I hope it sells whole. But I know it won’t be at 15.

Yea,....that's a pretty solid car,...it's a great color combo,..n25,..buckets,...Tach,..guages,..pw,...no AC,....4speed,..455,...some of you guys scare WAYYYY to easy,...it's a $8500 car imo but a man could go 10k on it.

They don't all habe to be virgin marys,...or show winners,...those are absolutely no fun,...I could take this car with one week of wrenching drive it 1200miles and run bottom 14s on crap tires,.....

These are 50yrold cars sending them to the parts pile because they have a little rust is ridiculous imo. That's like saying any 50yr old man with wrinkles and sore joints should just shoot themselves

From my experience guys that are afraid of rust are afraid because they had a knuckle dragger "fix" a rust area and it came back,...that's because they didn't know wtf they were doin,...nothing wrong with rust repair or sectioning panels if done correctly

I feel exactly the same way, it is a complete mega rare one of 84 ,1972 GS 455 4 speed cars with the desirable factory options.

This GS absolutely should be saved and restored.

I too am tired of hearing the constant smart ass negative comments that most people dish out on old project cars.

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

That GS will empty your bank account in a hell of a hurry should you choose to restore it.

Just an observation. We know they ALL can be saved ! Hoping to have this 70 rotbox on road shortly. Never missed a Boston winter …. Ever ! Roughly 450 horse 455 lots of goodies , turbo 400, shift kit JW 9.5 converter and 373 12 bolt. Quarters flapping in the breeze …. Gonna be a hoot !! 4714B73C-73B6-44CB-931E-DAFE6F4E8A0C.jpeg 935BB13C-FE6E-4109-BDE4-947E20BEA510.jpeg 4714B73C-73B6-44CB-931E-DAFE6F4E8A0C.jpeg 935BB13C-FE6E-4109-BDE4-947E20BEA510.jpeg 0151272E-0C54-4B0E-9BBF-194927FF57AE.jpeg

Yea,anything can be saved. It just depends on if you plan on keeping it or flipping it. The one above is my 70 GS455 auto. It getting a cage and a 9-sec Buick engine, but I still want it nice.

unless you plan on dipping it after all the welding it's just as compromised as it was b4,..possibly even more so in certain areas,...weldthru primer isn't all it's cracked up to be and a gun simply can reach alot of the areas,...brush it in,..there again you're not getting everywhere,...and I don't know of a epoxy vat anywhere myself but,...tou epoxy the skeleton sure,..then you clean the mating surfaces clean because welding thru epoxy 95% of the time produces a weld that you're grinding ,...so you use weld thru which ive yet to use that doesn't spatter and act stupid ,...use a resistance welder ok great but you're only gonna use it on 50% of the welds due to accessibility,...you don't have to de skin one especially removing good sheet metal when if properly done and stored like a restored car will be and used like a restored car will be,....it will look and hold up till we are all gone

I'm sure the car will look great,..it's in extremely capable and proven hands we know,...just trying to keep other guys from getting discouraged and thinking it would "require" all that,...

New vinyl top, grill, attach sport mirrors then restore engine bay and spruce up the interior and you have the bell of the ball in my opinion.

I would also not have a problem with a full restore over time and being upside down would be a small price to pay for a brass hat 72 loaded, I really like gold as well.

    Hugger,
Everything was done with a pro-spot. Basically,it was delaminated then re-laminated exactly how it was originally built. No cutting or welding scars. I understand that this way isn’t for everyone, but I don’t do patches and partials. I will do my 70 4-speed car the same way and in the end it will look like it rolled off the line. Yes,a little excessive for a Skylark or a race car,but for something rare or valuable, you gotta do it as best as possible. We are all over-restoring these cars, eliminating factory flaws and building the way we would have wanted them built. If it were me,restoring that 72 4-speed car,I would likely have $25k in panels and labor before I even entertain bodywork. Then I would need to look at how much more I will need for body & paint, and the everything else to restore the car. Could I just buy one done correctly? Maybe or maybe not. Gotta weigh all options. My days of doing these extreme restorations are about done. Got nothing left to prove. Just need to finish my own. There was a sweet spot in time to do these and it is coming to pass.

This car isn't really that bad for a project car and really deserves to be restored. I've done waaaay worse.
