This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. The cost of body materials is/has quickly turning restoration into a thing of the past.
When a 3/4" roll of good masking tape is almost 10bucks, paint jobs are out of the question for most.

    Save it. I doubt you will ever see another 1972 53 - B 4 speed 455

There is one gold 4 speed stage in the registry but is 53-53

This car is still available for anyone interested. I drove out to look at it a few weeks ago before we ended up buying the 72 convert. He has it down to 12K on marketplace.

The story is misleading- he bought the car 16 years ago and “refound” it. The passenger floor is gone, the car is really crusty overall but should be saved. Some rust around the rear window. Fenders have been replaced. Inner fenders have been patched and are also clearanced for the old hooker wrap around headers. Trunk had some rust, I’ve seen worse. NOM, matching numbers trans. I couldn’t get the code off the rear. He was willing to take 10 a few weeks ago and said he had an offer for 8K. Also has a 70 GS 455 4 speed clone convert and an original 70 stage 1 4 speed convertibles

Back on marketplace for 12K. Looks like he got the VT transferable registration for it and added more info.

It’s screaming “make me a beater.” That’s a lot of an initial investment though.

Funny, if it was the same year Malibu with a small block, it would probably sell fast for that price.

Agree, agree. I like its pedigree, color combo, and option load. I went and touched it first time around, and made an offer 2X its valuable parts with the intentions to save the car.

Those fenders and hood would look nice on that Convertible that was just found.
