I said, "I may", and that could be down the road.
No, this isn't the reason I sold it. In this current false economy, on the verge of a recession, and when we are already seeing HUGE inflation, parts shortages, price hikes on all goods, I was quickly getting upside down in this project, and didn't wish to get in any deeper where I was just going to lose more money, plus all the time invested.
I will concentrate on cars with less rust, needing less body and paint work.
Good friend of mine is a paint rep for Axalta(Dupont). They just informed all the employees the other day that there is about to be a HUGE price increase on paints, clears, hardeners, toners, etc.
The kind of price increase that is going to have an effect on everything, car insurance rates going up, cars will be totalled with less damage, new car prices will go up, and restoration will be a thing of the past other than ultra rare 1of 1 Hemi cars. The rest won't be worth the money invested.

Like many of you I read this ad many times. It was a good, complete car, and coming from Tom so it had a lot going for it. I liked it a lot but had the same concerns Tom did that I would keep sticking money into it. I forfeited my chance to comment about the new owner, he can do as he pleases.

Hang onto your hat for this next material increase. Sounds like a lot is going to double, and some stuff more than that.

Without getting into politics everything is going to go up as someone has to pay for all the stuff being given out. That being said life goes on!

You are both wise.........how a 7/16" sheet of OSB can jump from $9.xx to $32.xx is beyond reasonable comprehension. Many folks who never understood what inflation was are getting a lesson - me included...
