9 sec buicks? I have one that takes about 9 sec to start if i pump it enough....does that count? Gary
When the car had the V6 in it, the best 1/8 was 6.10 @113... The V8 isn't that fast but it doesn't break every other pass...lol

Cooool heads, my buddy stop by saturday with the dyno sheets for his new small block chebby to go into his very stock looking beautiful 69 camaro street car. It made 640hp @ around 7200rpm and peak torque was 570ftlbs @ 5000 rpm with a bunch of chinese parts. A couple years ago another friend of mine bought a fresh, complete from carb to pan, drysump the whole nine yards Jerry Haas pro stock engine for $11,000 I can't remember but I think it was a DRC2, made some where 1100 hp, with deals like that why wouldn't a guy stick one in his car. I mean if you had a chebby:laugh: Chris

I can "rejoin" the 9 second club. New motor went in in May, but have been just running on motor, 10.29 @ 131mph , 10.40 in 105+ deg. heat. Went out to the Barona 1/8th track yesterday, turned on the bottle, and with 60ft. off alittle, of the 3 passes, 1st one was a wheelie that pushed the car to the right and almost into the other lane, a 1.43 60ft. and had to lift to straighted it out, 2nd pass spun the tires hard right off the trans. brake, and finally the 3rd pass, 1.40 60 ft. 6.10@114mph, lifted alittle, still pushed to the right, not too bad though. According to my chart, that would be a 9.39 in the quarter. Gary G.
Gary,I was wondering what took you so long to sign up:grin: Kinda hard to say your car runs 9's with the old engine when you really only run 10's with the new engine. No smoke and mirrors, I like it. Congrats on getting back in the 9 sec club. Are you getting a new block from TA? Chris
