This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. If I can get the thing together I'll be happy/surprised to be in the 12's with no tuning.

Motor and tranny go in this afternoon. Time for me to take a nap.

You could probably bed down in one of the old wayward trucks out back temporarily until you find some more permanent digs.  Don't pay any attention to all those strange animal sounds and screams in the night. :eek2:

Dave, didn't you put a hoist in your new garage?

It seems like I'm always doing a last minute thrash before every event. Even the smallest projects get out of hand and take forever, so I end up arriving at the event all bleary eyed and tired and not ready. But somehow things seem to work out anyway. :TU:

I had planned to put in a hoist, but low on $$$. Taxes went up again here. Gotta support that mayor in Detroit and his large living lifestyle! Garage now filled with 2 cars, a pile of junk and a whole bay of lawn maintenance equipment of all flavors. Talking about a dirt floor pole barn construction attached to my other garage at the back of the property for lawn and snow removal equipment (and maybe a few more mountains of old Olds junk). :bglasses:Still have 2 more cars to bring here and all 3 garages are full....again and the diesel's outside.

Had to do something the last minute.

I gave the '64 a ring and pinion swap, rear u-joint and an oil change this weekend.

Even my scissor lift is a time saver.

Deferred the wipe down to the track or hotel so I could load it in the trailer before we had rough weather blow through Sunday eve.

Strap it down, load up supplies and head to Kil Kare Thursday afternoon. :TU:

I still have to unload this one (that I brought home yesterday), empty out the truck (back and front) then load up, hit T n T at Milan Weds PM with Casey (one more thing to try), then run down with Brian and Casey on Thursday. Old friend Tom from Oldsmobile Purchasing riding shotgun this trip. He's a lot of fun, but drinks too much.

It was new when I got it, but I still had Brian clean up the front pump. Convertor was a little sticky . He knows his stuff! Glad all is fine. :TU:

    Experiment

This was mostly an experiment (trying out a new picture resizer) but related to the topic:

Here's an engine photo from about two nights ago. Pulled an all nighter last night (9 pm to 5 am) to install it and the trans back in the car and fired it up this morning. I am at work operating on zero hours sleep.

The hood is in the paint shop and is supposed to be done tomorrow so it looks like I am on track for this weekend.

    K
