Killer deal! If I was into 455 engines I would snap this up... Basically buy the pistons and get the rods for free!

I might be interested in the pistons and rods. Can you let me know why you pulled it back apart after 500 miles? Also how many runs at the dragstrip do you think you might have on the combination?
One more question is it a solid dome or hollow dome piston?
    Let me know . Thanks

George, they are hollow dome pistons. I probably have 50-75 passes on them. Took it apart to change out the low tension oil control rings for standard tension oil control rings and then decided to build a different combination this time, more street than strip. Thanks, Larry.

Ok. let me think about it but I might be up for them. I might be able to get away with that much static CR with the aluminum heads.

How many cc's are the heads you plan on using? I have one of the pistons over at my machine shop and am waiting to hear how much material can be removed from the top (dome and around valve pockets) to lower the compression for another person that is interested. When I get that figure I will post it.
