Let's keep the political chatter down folks.. I don't agree with what is going on either, but this isn't the place.

You can talk about a gun ban without the political banter. Although I realize that it's a dem "g spot" and always has been.

But your opening line is looking for a fight Mike, tone it down please..

Happened here ages ago after one nutcase had a bad day. Now, no semi-auto ownership, no mag. capacity above 10 rounds, super strict handgun rules. All outlawed weapons were supposed to be handed in. Now, only the outlaws are heavily armed :Dou:

I'm a good boy JW:) All I can say with out pointing fingers is.......I got mine and they ain't takin it away, no matter what the laws state.:moonu: and thats a fact Jack:bla:

Oh and one last note people, start buying up ammo before they raise the tax on that and also make people register their info each time they buy ammunition. You see they cannot just out right throw out the 2nd amendment so what they will do is make it way too expensive to own a weapon so that most Americans will just give it up, except of course for the ultra rich and Holliwierds.

Oh and by the way if your wondering read the quote below.

Always thought ammo control made more sense, yes we are free to do what ever but no reason to sell armor piercing rounds in the middle of the hood next to a liquor store with no place to legaly use those rounds for 500miles.

common sense says 99% of sales will be for illegal use.

Buying weapons is a smart investment though almost better then gold.

i can see anyone wanting to own a handgun or a rifle or a shotgun. but what law-adiding citizen really needs an assault rifle, except law enforcement & the military?
in canada, there is almost a complete ban on handguns, a full ban on any & all automatic weapons - assault weapons, etc. it must be almost 40 years since the ban was instituted.

Yep that will keep law abiding people from getting them, but the dirt bags will just steal them, then shoot people and then hire some liberal ass lawyer and claim they ate too many twinkies that caused them to snap. And gets off with a light sentence.

When laws are enforced then crime drops. In NYC they have a mandated 1 year sentence for having an illegal gun in the commission of a crime. In my 20 years as a NYCPD I have never seen this enforced. But yet when a poor store owner shoots the crap out of an armed robber with his unlicensed gun the politicians crawl out of their caves while under the protection of armed security to hunt this poor guy down making an example out of him.

It is a known FACT that the majority of violent crimes with guns are committed with illegally possessed weapons. Why do we continue on punishing the law abiding people and make silly excuses for the ones that SHOULD be going to jail! Maybe we should outlaw cars because some people get into them drunk and drive off and kill people in accidents.

If you read the writings of Thomas Jefferson, who had fought for his freedom against a tyrannical, oppressive government, you'd understand WHY it is my right as a law abiding citizen to own any kind of rifle or pistol I want.

People who follow the law aren't committing gun crimes, criminals are. No gun ban or gun law is going to make them suddenly stop using guns. The only people hurt by gun legislation are law abiding citizens.

Once you put a crack in a law it makes it ever so easier to tighten the screws even more. It is another small step toward total govt control.

Look at England with an unarmed population, they are starting to have some serious problems over there.

As for owning an assault rifle, well it is in my constitution to be able to own one. My God given right by the frame workers of this great country.

We all own cars, so why do we ned to have a track car? Because people can get hurt racing and it pollutes and makes noise which hurts my ears.

We all own dogs (well a lot do) so why do we need to own an attack dog or a pitbull or Dobby

We all like to drink, but why do we have to as it has no health benefits.

The point is FREEDOM and a free society.

Bottom line is banning something because a few are abusing it is not the way. It goes back to a special word, "ACCOUNTABILITY"

This is the same attitude that schools do not mark wrong answers in red because it may hurt the child's feelings. Or little kids playing BB or soccer cannot keep score, because "everyone wins" so we don't scar their feelings.
