Im am really close to pulling the trigger on these wheels. With the car in my sig, do you think they would look better with white letters or black wall 255/60/15 BFg's?

For 15" and under sized rims I like the raised white letters. But for anything bigger, like 17-20" I'd do the the black wall because the aspect ratio would probably be wayyyy too small. I vote raised white letters!

Oh and if you don't like the look, you can just have them turn the tire so the opposite side faces out.... at least you can with the BFG Radial T/A's...

Blackwalls!!!!! Before you even think about putting white letters on those wheels, look at other cars that have the same combo. White letters are great on factory rally wheels that they came on but for some reason I've always hated them on aftermarket mag wheels. At a quick glance your eyes tend to focus too much on the tires rather than the wheels, which defeats the purpose of adding the wheels. It makes the car look too busy.

That is my fear that it would be too "busy". I actually had american wheels and white letters on my old 442 and it worked, but I think the stripping package had something to do with it.

I think blackwalls look best on every rim. I like that smoked Foose rim!

Personally, I'd still prefer it without the letters but WOW!!! I sure do like that 442 :TU:

Well the wheels are ordered should be here the middle of next week. They are 15x8s with 4.5" backspacing. The BFGs are 255/60s. Im going to mount one each way and test fit to see what I like. Might even post pics and get some more help, but it looks like most guys like the black walls.

My vote is raised white letters. I like to be different. I honestly would love some raised yellow tires, despite the cutoff sleeves and mullet appeal... Look at my sig... White Letters...

This is one of the best explanations out there, well said.

If you haven't ordered tires yet, get yourself a set of Firestone Indy 500's.
They are twice the tire a BFG is.
Twice the traction for sure, have a better looking tread, especially where the sidewall and tread meet at the edge.
BFG's have a rounded edge that looks like a bad front end alignment has them worn-off, while the Firestones have a more squared, bold, muscular edge that look's beefier on these cars.
Lot's of people are going to Firestone's that race at the pure stock drags for their superior traction. People are getting mid 1.8 60ft times on the Stones vs. 2.0x-2.1,2.2 with the junk BFG'S.
Just my opinion, and definately blackwalls ONLY with those wheels.

I think raised letters detract your eye from the rim, kepp it simple, blackwall gets my vote.

With a solid color wheel like whats on the 442, I like white letters. BUT, on a two toned wheel like the fooses, I vote black. The wheel itself gives a good color contrast, so you dont need the white letters to make it "pop" IMHO.

ya I have to say black as well... you dont want the tires to take away from the wheels
