Domestic VS Rice

This isn't mine but it's a great story (and mockery of rice) that was posted at 2am thursday morning on a group I belong to. Hope everyone enjoys it. I cleaned it up but I may have missed something though. It's a Ford but at least it won.

I love how it's not the prettiest car around and he still whooped on them, at least you know what he puts his effort towards in the car. And if it's ugly, then it's insult to injury!

...yet how sad it is that punks like that give EVERYONE in the import tuning scene a bad name. those of us who are there to have fun and compete and have respect for our fellow V8 brothers...are overshadowed by kids out to play F&F. these kids are so brainwashed and stupid by watching all this garbage on what hollywood thinks the import scene is. ah yes...no respect from the V8 guys becaues its peckerheads like them that screw it up for everyone. these punks are quickly running out friends however. the REAL tuners and import enthusiests dont want anything to do with them....as well as the muscle car guys. they are now out on their own with the help of APC, hollywood, and MTV. nobody else cares...and nobody else pays attention.

FYI from an import enthusiest...the REAL tuners respect I4, V6, V8, whatever. those of us that represent the REAL import scene are NOT like these little "ricers". please dont lump us in with those assholes

 

You know what? That what it ALL boils down to doesn't it? We are living the Fast and Furious. It's all around us.

This whole rap gangsta mentality has permeated and stuck like feathers on tar to todays generation of kids turned misfits, be it inner city or spoiled suburban rich kid. The above story is a case in point. Forget the kill story, which in and of itself was awesome, but the intellectually void behavior of these idiots really makes me embarrassed to be on the same level of the food chain as they are.

LOL @ winged freak shows. i am no ford fan, but i would've been cheering for this one. those punks with their nawzz. bunch of AH's. the " old man " showed the punks. i hate those f & f type cars.

the only bad thing about racing those idiots is, they will be behind us, and remember, they cant drive their way out of a wet paper bag. makes me concerned for my 1/4 panels and rear bumper.

I used to hang out with some guys that went on to be hardcore gangbangers. Even before they got to be gang members, you knew better than to mess with them. They weren't emulating anyone. They really did enjoy hurting people. It was for fun and for status in the group. Most of these wannabes would get eaten by the real thing in a heartbeat.

As for the imports, I left the only import BB I was on because it was being taken over by idiot ricers. The people on the board were just so obnoxious and concerned with looks, I couldn't take it anymore. I decided to play with the grown ups from that point forward. Can't say I miss them either. Too bad that's what most people think of when they hear about import car performance.

BTW, even the import guys hate the ricers.

 

About 7 years ago I bought a 97 Integra GSR. It was a fun car, but also reliable too. I ended up putting 17" rims on it, superchargering it, lowering it, and installing HUGE front brakes on it. It did not look like a "ricer" car. Back in 97 in Ohio, very few modified imports were around, and the car got tons of looks and comments.

Within 1 year that all changed. The ricers started to appear. By 1999 it was out of control. The "fart" cans were everywhere. Stickers covered everything that had Honda on it! I converted my car back to a stock exterior appearance (15" rims/stock exhaust), but kept the supercharger, header, and special cams. I also built a special set of front brakes that were able to fit in a 15" rim. They were incredible!

I spent the summer of 2000 spanking other imports left and right. My sleeper look got the best of them everytime. By 2001, things were starting to bug the hell out of me. We were getting younger kids starting to work at my place of employment, and word got around that I had a quick import (somewhat quick I guess). They would always entertain me thier complete lack of knowledge. One day I decided I didn't want to be part of the import wanna be scene here. The car was sold....

There are some seriously bad ass imports around here now, that are owned by some really nice guys. BUT, the fart cans still make a 18 year punk think his 1993 Civic is gonna run 13's. Also, I just love all the cars driving around with crazy ground effect bumpers bolted on, and they are still in white/grey primer!:spank:

 

yeah guys i can totally see where your comming from...but try being PART of the import scene yourself...and its even worse. i say that becuse i am the minority...because the reality of it is..most of the import world grew up overnight and is mainly comprised of ignorant 16-18 y/o's. there are a good number of us that are out there who know WTF we are talking about and how to do stuff right. most of these kids just half ass things and destroy perfectly good cars. IMO stock is best. no gay stickers, decals, wings, body kits, etc for me. just a nice clean OEM look. and if you think its bad trying to get performance stuff for older cars...try getting REAL performance stuff for imports. right now the mfg's are some preoccupied with churning out visual mods and just cheap junk. at least the v8 industry is 180* opposite of that.

i like imports and domestics alike (most old cars). i love to hear a nicely tuned import...but nothing beats the sound of a cammed v8 with some exhaust work. im not one of those who go around saying "v8's are slow and gay". i havent been brainwashed by the media and by hollywood. nothing pleases me more then to see a ricer get put in their place when the bite off more than they can chew. it seems that kids are getting stupider...and giving imports a worse and worse name as the days go by. i know of several old car shows that let imports in for a while...but no longer do because the ricers were doing burnouts and causing all kinds of trouble. iv grown tired of hanging out in areas where i can be associated with those kind of people. our online forum is filled to capacity with idiots...mind you we have our fair share of wizards also...but still. i though this project would bring me to something else for a while and let everything cool down. im still keeping my dsm, and still plan to mod...i just wanna try a little something new.

but just so ya know...there are several people that have much respect for old cars and v8's....so we arent all bad....just most of THEM ruin it for everyone. i must say, everyone here has been tremendously nice and helpfull...even if im lumped in with those riceburners :3gears:

 

i go to the street races all the time in ontario and there are some really quick imports there but the thing is theres alot of slow ones out there too the cars that are usually fast look all stock save for the black wheels or jdm parts or they have everything jdm they can get their hands on, theres a few integras out here that are turbo'd and a few eg's (92-95 civic hatches) and ek's (96-01 or so civic hatches) that are fast with gsr b18 c's and Civic si b16 a's then there the sneaky guys that are running heavily built single cam zc's i mean ive seen some civic hatches decimate mustangs out there i remember one night there was this brand new mustang cobra and he was killing any car he raced then a week later i see him running a red ek and im like oh hmm whatever he's gonna kill that hatch next thing all i hear is v-tec cracking and the eg fly's by like its going out of style he beat the cobra by 2 or 3 cars. im into american cars but i give credit where its due there are some fast imports and ive seen them of course there are some other american cars out there that are much faster than that cobra that nobody wants to race cause theyre scared lol..

 

I hear you about finding performance parts. I was flipping thru an import mag when I saw an ad that pretty much told me it was time to bail (I should have listened). It was a car with nothing but cosmetic mods (fake vents, fake hood scoops, etc.). All the company sold was that crap. Then I saw their stuff on imports all over the place. The import scene is now mostly made up of poseurs who are more concerned with looks/image than performance IMO. To top it off, most of these guys are obnoxious pricks. I give you credit for staying in and focusing on what's important. Someone has to focus on performance instead of how to get a Sony Playsation into their lime green, 18in rimmed, slammed to the ground, neon lit, tackily body kitted Honda.
BTW, you're too smart to be a ricer and I think most here see that.

 

O.K.! That's it!

Alright! I'm 48 y.o. and I thought I had this out of my system by now. But apparently I don't. Back in "My Day", (not really all that long ago), the battle was GM vs. Ford vs. Mopar. No ricer even entertained the thought of racing American muscle. You occasionally encountered a VW Bug that had been "worked" really well, but there was always some serious Detroit iron handy to blow it's doors off.

I understand that there ARE some fast imports today, and a few, (very few), of them are driven by decent folks. My hat's off to you guys! Keep up the good work! And I know it's not truely a muscle car, but I'd like to see any "street" ricer take on a Shelby Cobra 427 roadster and come out on top!

Now I'm REALLY missing my old ' 70 Stage 1. All this War-Talk has my blood up!

3. 300hp 240SX... how do you know? They are around 200hp stock (SR20DET motor).

5. I didn't know 300hp RWD 240's were designed for racing in the wet.
