Does anyone sell duplicolor DH1608 in stores anymore? Maybe by special order or something? I can't find it anywhere except online. Let me know if you can still get it in a auto parts store!! Thanks, Brian Or does anyone want to trade for some Duplicolor 500 degree Pontiac Blue??:Brow:
I can't find the Krylon Buick red around either, so I buy it online: http://www.utilitysafeguard.com/K02114-Engine-Paints-Buick-Red/ Devon
Try your NAPA Auto Parts Store. They show 529 cans left throughout the country at their distribution centers.
I just got a case from Utility Safeguard. Shipped face and was painless to order from them for $39.00.. I see it has one down to $33.25. http://www.utilitysafeguard.com/Krylon-Paint/Aerosol-Paint/Dupli-Color/Rust-Tough-Acrylic-Enamel_39/ John
Just saying, in 10 years when im still a member of this board...I cant wait to be reading ads for cans of this stuff at like $100 hahaha. Im sure someone will find a replacement by then. I bought the last 2 a local store had. And I got a couple extra for backup.
Brian, I have 3 cans on the shelf. I bought it last year and don't think I'll be using it. I paid around $6.98/can so if you want all 3 for $20 plus shipping I'll sell it. The per can case price from Utility Safeguard is better if you can use that many.
yyyyyyyyyep... And to be honest, the DH1608 is really not glossy enough to be "correct," but I've found that a clearcoat of the 500* stuff makes it look good. I only would clear the valve covers.
Already got the duplicolor clear!!! By the way, bought a brand new TA intake, should I coat it with something? I like the silver look and don't want to paint it red. Let me know!! Brian
Don't clear it...will turn yellow. Best bet is to have it powdercoated or paint it aluminum color. Or have it polished by www.trishieldperformance.com
I am wondering if any of you know if there is a powder coating - powder that matches the Krylon Buick Red. I ordered a couple cans on-line, however I would really like to powder coat the pan, intake and valve covers rather than painting. Any insight out there?? Thanks, John C.
