I can see how that could happen easily enough. Both my red car and black car have been gathering dust ever since they were painted and need to be put together. 2 years on the red one and 1 year on the black one....and still counting.

Send out a six pack of whatever motivation it took to get back at it!

    can it be bottled?

    Dave,
It took having a reunion of the lift-off hood cars to light the fire under my butt. I also had a dang good friend who did all of the wet-sanding and buff work while I handled the rest. Also got my boys involved, ages 11 & 7 who now are enjoying the taking care of the car. My 7 year-old told me on Saturday - "Dad, them seats are comfy! :Brow: ". My 11 year-old is always wiping the car down and sitting behind the wheel :3gears: when he isn't wiping. Start them young and they'll never stray  :TU: :beer

How 'bout this young? That's got to be great working with your sons. My daughter didn't want anything to do with my older cars, just the keys to the new ones. This guy, though, will be another story.

    Brian:

Here's another message from him to you. We're babysitting him again today.

    Hey Dave,

It looks as if your grandson has more hair than you do! I am a bad dad. I have not taken any pictures of my son with my car. I hope to remedy that this weekend! He has, however, had a ride in the car. He was just kicking his feet and having a great time. My wife may be in trouble, my son (15 months) likes loud things and makes motor sounds when playing with his truck. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree!

You know, Dave, the older that kid gets, the more he looks like you. I swear that's your face with a little less wrinkle, a little more drool.

Lon, looking at the pics I think you have more than redeemed yourself.

No kick from here, just looking forward to a Stanton debut! :TU:

Lon is this car a bench column or bucket console, no console? Options? Are the back windows regulated or those neat pop out ones...

    Hey Brian,

It appears that they are the pop outs! Lets run this car across the scales! :Brow:

    gonna be a heavyweight contender

    Brian,
My car is optioned similar to a GTX. It came optioned w/ the following:
of course the A12 package :bglasses:

POST - this gives it the pop-out windows
    [IMG]

    Deluxe Bucket seats in pewter
    [IMG]

    Console for the automatic
    In-dash tach
    [IMG]

    P/S
Road Runner decor group - ya get stainless trim, bright tips, etc
    Vinyl top
    Tinted glass
NO RADIO - gonna save weight there
Red single painted pin stripe (unique in that red wasn't an accepted color, black was, according to the trim guide :Do No: )

The real unique part of the car is that is is the only KNOWN A4 Platinum exterior and M6S Pewter & Black interior A12 Road Runner. The other pewter interiored car is a bench seat, again the only known one.
When I was at Carlisle one of the other unique A4 A12 Road Runner's was down there. It is a hardtop w/ Blue bucket seat interior. It was ordered w/ a blue bench seat but the factory screwed up and built it as a column shift auto w/ the blue buckets on nothing between them. The owner didn't want the car but the dealership gave him 20% off. This is also the only one known.
