Mark - GM typically stopped installing these sometime after the 1970 model year. With that said a lot of post-70 car owners go ahead and install them in their cars when changing tanks, doing restorations, etc......there is nothing different on the post-70 cars, tank-wise, etc that prevents one from going in just as easily as the earlier cars. Thanks
Thanks for the good words/feedback from everyone! This particular item was something that "bugged" me for years so I pursued it and found a nice replacement. However, it's you guys that keep it going and I intend to supply these as long as there's demand and I really appreciate the business. Frank - Yes, still in the correct position....or at least the one we all favor! I plan on making the next Buick meet this Spring so I look forward to seeing you there.:TU:
I appreciate the info, Patton. I am all restored now so the tank is up and connected....so unless this is an easy install I'll ponder it for later. Thanks, Mark
Patton, I bought a tank pad from you a while back. You told me that one side was supposed to be installed up (shiny side or not). I cannot find the email that you sent me. Can you remind me which way the pad gets installed? Thank you. /
Got your email but I'll post here as well in case anyone else is wondering. Shiny side (clear plastic coated side) faces down towards the top of the gas tank...that's how the factory installed these. Thank you
Thanks Patton! :TU: Great product and service. Super fast shipping... Installed it yesterday and looks great.
Gregory - When I click on your name/profile no email option shows up so I SENT YOU A PM (PRIVATE MESSAGE)....check your PM box and you'll have the details there. Thanks very much And ----JOE TRACY----Thank you very much for the good words! I appreciate your business.
Patton, I'm interested in the conv top cables, relay cover and gas pad--price and shipping to Illinois,61068? Thanks
Patton, Do you sell something like the tank pad but about 1/2 thickness? Looking for some thinner material to use as vapor barrier. Thanks
