Today I replaced my old, regular style starter for a new high torque one.
Somewhere on this forum I saw a link to this one:
    https://www.amazon.com/STARTER-MERC...d=1&keywords=B008Y3O44S&qid=1597837590&sr=8-1

It also has a review that states it fits to a BBB.

But the best part is it has a lot of numbers to cross reference, so I tried to source one here in Europe to prevent high shipment and customs, and I ended up buying this one:
    https://vrachtwagens.autodoc.nl/cv-...735.683865720.1669069492-791519811.1669069492

(article number is 810.521.112.031 and it's with R terminal for points)

Bolted right up, no shimming required and it's brilliant. My engine never spinned this fast during starting.

    Good information, thanks Stefan.
Last year I ordered this one here in Germany:
    Anlasser Hyster H40XL H50XL H60XL S40XL S45XM S50XM S55XM S60XM S65XM GM Motor Jungheinrich TFG25BK OMC Motor Volvo Penta Delco Remy 8000193 9000763 9000798 9000820 9000822 9000850 10465461 10465606 12 Volt 1,6 KW-1238AN (kohl24.de)
It did not come with shims and conversion bolts. Did yours? The owner of the shop was quite helpful selecting the right starter, but I have not yet had the chance to install it, as my new engine has not arrived yet.

Yours should fit as well. Same numbers.
Mine didn't come with shims and bolts either; I reused my old bolts.

Did you have a mini starter before? The bolts for the mini starter are different from the stock starter bolts.

    No I didn't, had the old-style starter.
Now I read something about different shank sizes. 10mm vs 3/8". That's a difference of 1/50th of an inch. I have to look into that.
